Love your plush toy, or your money back
You see photos of your toy before it ships. If you still don’t love it, you get your money back.
You see it before it ships
When your toy is finished we photograph it and send you the pictures. If the nose sits wrong, if a color reads differently in daylight, if it just isn’t the toy you had in your head — say so, and we change it before anything is packed.
That step costs nothing. Other studios sell it as a paid add-on, or offer it only after someone complains. Here it is simply how the job ends, and it is the reason almost nothing ever gets as far as a refund.
Sewing usually takes 2–4 weeks. The photos come before the toy is posted, and the post itself takes 7 to 20 business days, a little longer around the holidays. See how an order runs, step by step.
If something isn’t right, we fix it before it ships
Most of what goes wrong is small and fixable. A seam, an expression, a shade of fabric that looked different on screen.
That is what the photo stage is for. You point at what is off, we change it, and you look again. Nothing is packed until you are happy with what you see.
The refund sits behind all of that as the last resort, not the first move.
A full refund within 14 days
If the toy is in your hands and it still isn’t right, you have 14 days to tell us, and you get a full refund.
Any subjective reason counts. You don’t have to justify it, prove anything or win an argument. “Not what I pictured” is reason enough.
What happens if you ask for a refund
Write to us within 14 days and say you would like your money back. That is the whole process.
The toy stays with you. We don’t ask you to pack it up and pay to ship it back across the world. The money goes back the same way it came.
Since 2009 this has been used very rarely, which is mostly a compliment to the photo stage.
What a handmade toy can and can’t be
A toy sewn by hand from a flat picture is never a pixel copy of that picture. Fabric has thickness. A face has to work in three dimensions. A drawing doesn’t tell you what the back of a head looks like, so someone has to decide that, and then sew it.
What we aim for is the moment you open the box and recognize it. That is the target, and the photo stage exists so that you are the one who says whether we hit it. Look through the toys we’ve made and judge for yourself before you order.
Why we can promise this
The promise is easy to make because of how the toys are made. Read what customers wrote afterwards.
Questions about the guarantee
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. When your toy is finished we send you photos of it. If something looks off, tell us and we change it, then you look again. Nothing is packed until you say it is right.
It will look like a handmade toy of your picture, which is not quite the same as a copy of it. Fabric has thickness, a face has to work in three dimensions, and a flat drawing never shows the back of a head.
What we aim for is the moment you open the box and recognize it. The photo stage is there so that you decide whether we got there, not us.
You have 14 days to tell us, for any subjective reason at all. You get a full refund, and you keep the toy. No return shipping, and no explanation needed.
Yes. Your drawings, photos and ideas stay private, and we use them only to make your toy.
We might, and we hope you won’t mind. Photos of the toys we make go on this site and on our social pages — it is how people find us, and how you found the toys in our portfolio.
Your own photos, drawings and messages stay private either way. If you’d rather your toy wasn’t shown anywhere, just tell us when you order and we’ll keep it between us.
No. Mascots, prototypes and patterns for companies are made to a contract and an agreed specification. For a prototype from a clear brief, one change is included, we sign an NDA and the patterns belong to the client. See Plush Prototypes.
