A cotton doll is small enough to carry everywhere: about 20 cm tall, a big round head, a soft chubby body and a wardrobe of tiny clothes. Fans take them to concerts, cafés and trips and photograph them everywhere. The ones you can buy are mostly official merch of a few famous faces or small fan-made batches, and your favorite may not be among them. We sew a custom cotton doll of the person or character you choose, by hand, for you alone. Every doll here is made to order, from your pictures and your wishes.

What is a cotton doll?
The name comes from Chinese fan culture, where these dolls are called mianhua wawa (棉花娃娃), literally “cotton doll”. The classic one is about 20 cm (8 inches) tall. The head takes up almost half of that, the body is short and plump, the face is embroidered or printed, and the hair is fuzzy faux fur you can brush. It wears real clothes that come off, so owners swap outfits the way you’d dress a Barbie. Most cotton dolls show K-pop idols or anime characters, and many fans own more than one.
Our chibi dolls, and yours
We haven’t posted a classic cotton doll here yet. The closest is our girl in the orange hoodie, sewn as a portrait of a real girl: a big head, long brown hair, a wide grin, an orange hoodie and navy pants.
The three chibis next to her show more of how we handle this kind of work: Sasuke with his rope belt and zip-up shirt, Itachi with an Akatsuki cloak that comes off, and Ozen, a round sleepy blob from Made in Abyss. Your cotton doll gets the classic proportions: about 20 cm, big head, small body.
Take Itachi’s cloak off and there’s a whole second outfit underneath: dark top, mesh collar, white belt, leg wraps and sandals. A cotton doll works the same way. The clothes are sewn as separate pieces, so they come off and go back on.
What you can choose
- Who it is. A K-pop idol from photos, an anime or game character, your OC, or a friend.
- The face. The expression, eye shape and colors, a blush or a tiny fang. We embroider it so it doesn’t rub off.
- The hair. Color, length and style: fluffy faux fur, or layered fleece like our Sasuke’s spikes.
- The outfit. A stage costume, a school uniform, a hoodie, a character’s signature look. Order one set or a few to swap.
- Accessories. A headband, a hat, a small bag, a mic, a sword.
- A skeleton, if you want one. Wire inside the arms and legs so the doll holds a pose for photos.

Idol dolls are fan pieces
We’re an independent studio, so every idol or character doll is a handmade fan piece sewn for one person.
