Any animal, yours or wild
Some people send photos of their own cat and get a soft twin of it. Some pick an animal they’ve never touched: a fennec fox, a mountain goat, a ring-tailed lemur. One family asked for a dinosaur their kids could sit on. If it has fur, feathers or scales, we can make it.
Photos are all we need. For a pet, a few from the front and the sides plus a close-up of the face. For a wild animal, any good pictures of the species and a note on what matters to you: the colouring, the pose, whiskers, eyelashes.
How real does it look?
As close as fabric and wool allow. Up close it’s still a toy, and we’d rather say so than promise a photograph.
What makes ours read as real is the small stuff: fur blended where the colours meet instead of a hard line, eyes with a dark rim, a pink nose, a tail that curls the way the real one does.
Only faux fur, ever. We don’t work with natural fur and we don’t take orders that ask for it.

Cats that look real
The grey cat was sewn from photographs of one real cat. Long grey faux fur, a white chest, the face markings and the tail copied from the pictures, so the owner recognises their own cat and not a generic one.
The tuxedo cat is a portrait too. Long black coat, white shirt-front and socks, yellow-green eyes, a tail almost half the size of the toy, and the detail its family noticed first: a small black spot right under the pink nose. Tuxedo isn’t a breed, it’s a coat pattern, and every cat wears it differently. That’s what we copy.
The tabby cat has folded ears, green glass eyes and its pink tongue left out, because that’s how the real cat looked in the photos. Its owners keep it as a memorial.
The black cat is all about the eyes, because a black coat hides everything else. Pale green eyes, pink inner ears, a leather collar with a little bell, and a poseable body, so it sits up, stretches out or rolls onto its back.
The long-haired tabby is the fluffy one: a brown and cream coat with darker stripes, a thick tail and long white whiskers. It lies down like a cat that has found the warm spot and isn’t moving.
The licking striped cat is not a copy of a pet. The client asked for a pose every cat owner knows: one leg up, washing, tongue out. It was needle felted from wool to that idea, stripe by stripe, with turquoise eyes and pink toe pads.
Foxes, felted and sewn
The fennec fox started with two photos of real fennecs and a list of wishes: the colouring, the whiskers, the eyelashes. Faux fur runs from the nose back and down the legs the way a real coat does. The ears are white inside and ginger on the back.
A wire frame lets it lie, stand or roll over with its paws up.
The fox with a beauty mark was needle felted fibre by fibre. Ginger shading into rust on the back, dark brown legs like a real red fox’s stockings, a white ruff and a white tail tip. Right beside her nose sits a tiny pale dot, and it changes the whole face.
Bigger, stranger, on the wall
The mountain goat is white faux fur with a shaggy beard, long curved brown horns and dark hooves.
The lemur head is a ring-tailed lemur needle felted from wool on a wooden plaque, looking up past you with amber eyes, and the Stoned Fox is the famous bad taxidermy from the internet, sewn from faux fur so you can hug it. Both hang with our plush faux taxidermy.
The family dinosaur is about 1.3 metres tall, green with a cream belly and a mouthful of white teeth, made for children who wanted a dinosaur they could climb on. It’s now part of the family.

How we get the realism
- Faux fur chosen for the coat. Long pile for a shaggy cat, short pile where the shape must show, colours blended where they meet.
- Needle felting for fine detail. Wool shaped with a barbed needle, colours laid on in thin layers, so stripes and shading read like a real coat.
- The face. Glass eyes with a dark rim, a nose in the right pink or black, whiskers, and eyelashes if you want them.
- The pose. A poseable wire frame on request, or one fixed pose from your photo.
- Never natural fur. Faux fur and wool only, on every animal.

Long-pile faux fur gives a shaggy coat like a long-haired cat, short pile shows the shape of a slim animal, and needle-felted wool gives the fine, fuzzy surface you see on the foxes and the striped cat.
Sewn faux fur is soft to hold, so it suits a toy that will be held a lot. Needle-felted wool is firmer, more like a small sculpture, and it takes finer detail: fur colours laid on in thin layers, a tongue, a tiny beauty mark. Tell us how the animal will live, on a shelf or on a lap, and we’ll suggest one.
Yes, on request. A wire frame inside the body lets the animal sit, lie down, stand or turn its head. The fennec fox, the fox with the beauty mark and the black cat on this page are all poseable. It adds a little to the price and the time.
