This little blue merle corgi is a copy of one real dog. Its owner sent us photos, and we sewed a custom corgi plush from them by hand, for that one family. It isn't a design we repeat. Your dog would get its own.

Put the real dog next to the toy and you'll see what we were after. The same marbled black-and-grey back. Tan spots over the eyes. Big upright ears with a pink lining. And the detail people notice last: one ice-blue eye and one brown eye, just like the dog's.

Why the merle coat is the hard part

A merle coat has no repeating pattern. Every patch of black, grey and white is a one-off, and the two sides of the dog don't match. So there's no "corgi fabric" to reach for. We place the faux fur patch by patch against the photos until the toy looks like that particular dog and not like corgis in general. Blue merle is a coat you mostly see on Cardigan corgis, and their owners know every spot on it.

Small enough to sit on your hand

This one sits on a palm. That size was the customer's pick, not a rule. Tell us what you want: a palm-size corgi for a desk or a shelf, or a bigger one you can actually hug. Size changes the price, and the quote is free.

Materials used

The corgi is sewn from faux fur in several shades: white for the chest, legs and muzzle, black and grey for the marbled merle back, and tan-brown for the cheeks and the spots above the eyes. We never use natural fur, on any toy.

The ears are the showpiece. Black on the outside, a soft pink-tan lining inside, and they stand up on their own like a real corgi's. The eyes are glossy, one pale blue and one brown, placed to match the photos. The nose is shiny black.

The fur is shorter on the face and paws and fuller on the chest, so the toy reads as a corgi rather than a fluffy teddy. All our materials are safe and eco-friendly.

Lead time

A corgi like this usually takes 2–4 weeks. Some toys are faster. We quote with a small reserve, because handwork doesn't always go to plan.

Most of the time goes into the coat. Laying out a merle pattern patch by patch and checking it against your photos from every side is slow on purpose. The eyes and ears get the most attention, since they decide whether it looks like your dog.

You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. If there's a date to hit, a birthday or an anniversary, tell us at the start.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Once the corgi leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and customs. Sometimes it's quicker.

Around Christmas and other holidays, parcels slow down everywhere. If the corgi is a gift, say for the dog's birthday or for someone who lives far from their dog now, add a few days and let it arrive early.
