This tuxedo cat plush is a portrait of one real cat. Its family sent us photos, and our makers sewed the copy by hand, for them alone. We don't keep cats like this on a shelf. If you want one, it's made from your cat.

The detail people notice first is a small black spot right under the pink nose, copied from the real cat. Then the rest: the long black coat on the back, the white chest and paws, the yellow-green eyes and a tail so bushy it's almost half the toy.

Black and white is harder than it looks

"Tuxedo" isn't a breed. It's a coat pattern: black on top, a white shirt-front and white socks, like a cat dressed for dinner. Every tuxedo cat wears it differently. Where the white stops on the chest, how far it climbs up the face, whether the mask is even or lopsided. That's what we copy from your photos, and it's why no two of our tuxedo cats come out the same.

Materials used

The cat is sewn from long-pile faux fur in two colours: black for the head, ears, back and tail, and white for the chest, belly, legs and muzzle. We never use natural fur, on any toy.

The fur is longest on the tail and around the neck, so the toy has the fluffy ruff of a long-haired cat. The ears have a pale grey-pink lining with long tufts. The eyes are glossy yellow-green, and the small pink nose has the little black spot just below it, placed where it is on the real cat. Long white whiskers finish the face.

Small black paw pads sit on the underside of each foot. All our materials are safe and eco-friendly.

Lead time

A cat like this usually takes 2–4 weeks. Some toys are quicker. Our estimate keeps a small reserve, because handwork doesn't always go to plan.

The longest part is the coat: working out where black turns to white so it matches your photos from every side. The face comes last and gets the most time, since that's where you'll recognise your cat.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Once the cat leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and customs.

Around Christmas and other holidays, parcels slow down everywhere. If the cat is a gift, for a birthday or for someone who lost their pet, leave a few spare days so it arrives on time.
