Dusya is a bullmastiff, and her family says she's more than a pet. She's their pride. So they asked us for a bullmastiff plush of her, and we sewed it to order from her photos in the autumn of 2016. There is only one. If you want a stuffed animal that looks like your dog, we start the same way: with your photos.
Getting the wrinkles right
A bullmastiff without wrinkles is just a big brown dog. The folds are what people know the breed by, so we sculpted them into the fabric one by one: across the forehead, around the eyes, down the cheeks and in heavy rolls around the neck and the front legs. The jowls hang low and the brown nose sits right in the middle of all that loose skin.
What else we sewed:
- A short, soft ginger coat
- Big blue eyes with a glossy shine, looking up
- Long ears that flop down beside the face
- A white heart-shaped patch on the chest
- One white front paw, with the toes stitched in
- A thin tail curled to the side
She sits the way a big dog sits when it's waiting for a treat. Bullmastiff owners will know the look.
The gamekeeper's dog
The breed comes from England at the end of the 1800s. Gamekeepers on big estates needed a dog to stop poachers: the Mastiff was too slow and the Bulldog too small, so they crossed the two. The result got the nickname "gamekeeper's night dog". Bullmastiffs come in fawn, red and brindle.
A plush of your own dog
Send us a few clear photos: the face from the front, the side, and any markings like a white patch or a black mask. Tell us whether you want a toy to hug or a closer, more realistic copy, and roughly what size. Before anything ships, you see photos of the finished toy.
More real dogs we've sewn are in dog replicas. Another wrinkly one is our Shar Pei plush, and cats and other pets are in pet stuffed animals.
Dusya is sewn from premium short-pile plush. A short coat shows every fold, and on a bullmastiff the folds are the point.
- Ginger plush for the body, the head and the ears
- White plush for the heart on the chest and the one white paw
- A sculpted brown nose
- Blue eyes with a glossy finish
Inside is soft hypoallergenic stuffing, packed so she sits up on her own. Your dog may need something else: brindle stripes, a black mask, a fawn or red coat, a collar with a name tag. We match the colors to your photos. Where a dog has a fluffy coat, we use faux fur, never real fur.
A bullmastiff plush usually takes 2β4 weeks to make.
First we draw a pattern from your photos: the broad head, the deep chest, the way the ears fall. Then we cut, sew and shape the wrinkles. On a bullmastiff that step takes real time, because each fold has to land where it does on your dog.
The face comes last, because the eyes and the jowls decide whether it looks like your dog. The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need it by a birthday or another date, tell us in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7β20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays the post slows down, so add a few extra days.
If the plush is a gift for a bullmastiff owner, count back from the date: making time first, then delivery. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before it leaves, you get photos of the finished toy to approve. We pack it so the ears and the face arrive in shape, not squashed flat.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009. A plush of someone's own dog is one of the most personal things we make, and nobody knows that face better than you do. So you judge it first: we send photos of the finished toy before it ships.
If it arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Not sure if you want a cuddly version or a realistic one? Ask before we start. Changing a pattern is much easier than changing a finished toy.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
