This little orange guy is a company mascot. He's also the hero of the company's own animated cartoon, where he plays a cheerful, kind helper. In 2012 the company asked us to take him off the screen and sew him as a company mascot plush, made by hand to order.

Nine cones of hair

On screen he looks simple: a round orange body, a big head and a crown of spikes. In fabric, that crown was the hardest part of the job. His hair is nine separate cones, and each one has to stand up on its own and sit at its own angle around the head, the way it does in the cartoon. The pattern for that took real work. We cracked it, and the hair keeps its shape from the front, the side and the back.

The rest of him is about the face. The eyes are huge: white, then sky blue, then a shiny black pupil with a tiny highlight, all outlined in black stitching like an ink drawing. Thin black brows and a small dark red smile finish the expression. His arms are open wide, and he stands on his own two round feet.

Why turn a cartoon mascot into a plush

A cartoon character lives on a screen. A plush one sits on a desk at the office, travels to events and ends up in people's hands.

Your mascot, sewn

Send us your mascot as a drawing, a frame from your video or a description. We work out the pattern, match the colors and sew it by hand. Tricky shapes like spikes, horns or wild hair are the fun part for us.

One mascot is a normal order, and so is a batch. For a batch, we always sew one sample first and you approve it before we make the rest.

See more on our custom mascot plush page, the robot cat we made from a company logo, or a bright monkey mascot sewn from a client's drawing.

The mascot is sewn from soft orange plush fabric with a short, fleecy pile. The face is built from layered fabric pieces, not printed.

  • Orange body, head and nine cone-shaped spikes of hair
  • Eyes in white and sky blue fabric with black stitched outlines
  • Black button pupils with a small white highlight
  • Embroidered black brows and a dark red smile
  • Hypoallergenic fiberfill inside

For your mascot we match the fabrics to your brand colors as closely as we can. A logo or a name can go on a T-shirt, a tag or a badge. Sound modules and LED lights can be added on request.

A single mascot usually takes 2–4 weeks. Much of that goes into the pattern: a cartoon character is drawn flat, so we decide how every part looks in 3D, from every side.

Ordering a batch? The first sample usually takes 4–6 weeks. You approve it, and only then do we sew the rest.

Our estimate already has a reserve for handmade surprises. If you need the mascot for a launch, an event or a company anniversary, tell us the date when you ask for a quote. We take urgent orders.

We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Couriers slow down before big holidays, so leave some room.

Company mascots usually come with a date attached: a launch, an event, a holiday campaign. Count back from that day, making time first, then shipping. For anything tied to Christmas or New Year, order by November 1.

Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished mascot, so you know exactly what's arriving at your office.

We've made toys to order since 2009, from photos and from drawings. Mascots for companies, stores and clubs are a regular part of that work.

Before we start, we go through the character with you: the size, the colors and which details have to stay exactly as they are on screen. There is no minimum order. For a batch, we sew one sample first and you approve it. When the mascot is ready, you see photos of it before it ships.

Planning a factory run of thousands? We also make prototypes and sewing patterns for production, see our Patterns & Prototypes page.
