Game Merch Plush: a Batch of Ginger Cats

Description

The cat army is on the march. This is game merch plush we sewed in a batch for a video game developer in 2022: a whole legion of bright, brave ginger cats, every one of them the same character from the studio's game. We made them to order, from the client's own character, not from a catalog.

In our photo there are more than twenty of them, lined up like troops before a battle. In the other shot they're piled up after it.

Meet the soldier

Each cat sits upright on a round white belly. Orange plush everywhere else, a white muzzle with stitched whiskers, and big yellow eyes under two small dark brows. He doesn't look scared of anything.

The uniform is the fun part. A grey-blue bandana tied at the neck, a black belt, and a round gold badge right on the tummy, embroidered like a medal. On top of the head sits a tuft of orange plush. On some cats it stands up tall like a little flame. Behind: a fluffy orange tail. Underneath: white paw pads.

How a batch like this goes

A batch starts the same way as a single toy. First we draw the character as a plush, so you can see how the game art will turn into fabric. You check it, we adjust, and the final look gets approved before anything is cut. Then we sew a sample, and only after you say yes to it do we sew the rest.

We sew company batches as fast as we can, and with the same care as a one-off order. Every cat here is handmade. That's why the faces, belts and badges match across the whole army.

Materials used

The cats are sewn from soft orange and white plush, with the uniform built from fabric and embroidery.

For your character we match the fabric to your game's colors. A logo or the game's name can go on the toy or on a sewn-in tag. Sound modules and LED lights are possible on request.

Lead time

A batch runs in two steps: one approved sample first, then the whole run. How long it takes depends on how many toys you need and how detailed they are, so we quote it per project.

The sample takes the most thought. That's where the drawing turns into a pattern and the colors get matched to the game. Once you approve it, the rest of the batch follows that sample.

Planning around a release date, an expo or a stream? Tell us the date in your first message. We'll say right away whether it fits.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Couriers slow down before big holidays, so leave some room.

For anything tied to Christmas or New Year, order by November 1.

Before the batch leaves, you get photos of the finished toys, so you know exactly what will arrive.

Terms

We've made toys to order since 2009. Mascots and merch for companies are a regular part of that work.

A batch never starts blind. The character is drawn and approved first, then the sample, and only then the rest. You see photos of the finished batch before it ships. There is no minimum order.
