This custom bird plush is the second bird we made for the same man, Valentin Voronov. His last name comes from the Russian word for raven, so his first bird from us was a velvet raven. This one is purple and yellow. It was made to order for him alone: no shelf version, no second copy.
His name on the vest
The joke sits on the front of a royal purple vest, in gold capital letters: VALENTIN VORONOV THE BEST. The vest slips off, and the bird looks just as good without it.
Under it is a cartoon bird with a long pale-yellow beak, round blue eyes and a small orange crest. The body is dark purple with a yellow chest. Each wing is a fan of separate yellow feathers with a lighter purple shoulder, an orange tail sticks out at the back, and the whole thing stands on big purple three-toed feet.
Not a raven this time
The first gift was realistic: the bird his surname comes from, in black velvet. The second goes the other way. Bright colours, a goofy face, both wings thrown up like it's cheering for him.
Your bird, your words
Can't find a bird plush you like in the shops? That's usually the moment to have one made. Maybe your boss or a friend has a bird hiding in their last name, or your team has one in its logo. The bird is sewn from soft plush fabric in four colours: dark purple for the head and body, yellow for the chest and wings, a lighter purple on the wing shoulders and orange for the crest and tail.
- A long stuffed beak in pale yellow fabric
- Wings made of separate yellow feathers, each one cut and sewn by hand
- Blue-and-white eyes with black pupils
- Big purple feet with three toes each
- A removable purple vest with the name embroidered in gold
We use premium materials and hypoallergenic filling. On request we can put a wire frame in the wings so they can be posed, or add a sound module or LED eyes.
A custom bird like this usually takes 2–4 weeks.
Most of that goes into the pattern, the feathers and the lettering. Every wing feather is cut and sewn on separately, and we agree the wording on the vest with you before it's embroidered.
Our estimate already includes a reserve for the surprises that come with handwork. If the bird is for a birthday, a work anniversary or a team party, tell us the date when you ask for a quote.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Couriers slow down around big holidays, so leave some extra time then.
A gift like this nearly always has a date attached. Add the making time to the shipping time and count back from the day. For Christmas and year-end gifts, order by November 1.
Before the bird ships, you get photos of the finished toy, vest and all, so you know exactly what's coming.
