This is a real man, shrunk down and made soft. Short dark hair, a full beard, a grey blazer over a navy top, and trousers with the cuffs rolled up. We sewed this look-alike doll from his photos.

Like everything we sew, it was made to order for one person. We don't keep dolls like this in stock.

What makes it look like him

Nobody recognizes a friend by counting eyelashes. You see the beard, the hair, the jacket he always wears. So that's what the doll is built around:

Send a few clear photos of the face and the hair, and tell us what has to be there. The glasses, the tattoo, that one jacket. Before the doll ships, you get photos of it to approve.

Materials used

Everything we use is safe and eco-friendly.

His face, hands and feet are soft peach plush, filled with stuffing, so the doll is squishy but firm enough to sit up. The eyes are small, shiny black beads. The brows and the smile are sewn in, and the cheeks have a soft pink blush.

The hair and beard are dense and textured, in the same dark brown, and they match.

For your doll we match hair color, beard shape, skin tone and clothes to the photos as closely as fabric allows. The outfit is yours to choose.

Lead time

A look-alike doll usually takes 2–4 weeks.

First we study the photos and decide what to keep: the beard line, the hairstyle, the shape of the face. Then comes the pattern, the head, the face details, the hair, and finally the clothes, which are cut and sewn like a tiny real outfit.

The face takes longest. A few millimeters in where the eyes sit decide whether the doll looks like him or like a stranger.

Before we pack it, you get photos of the finished doll. If something is off, we fix it first. Got a date in mind? Put it in your quote request.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Once the doll is packed, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs. Sometimes it's closer to 7.

Around holidays, couriers everywhere get busy and parcels slow down. If the doll is for a birthday, an anniversary or Father's Day, leave some room.

For Christmas, order by November 10. That covers the making and the shipping.

We've been sewing toys to order since 2009, more than 2,100 of them.

The only test that counts: he sees the doll and knows it's him. So you see it in photos before it ships, and it leaves us only when you say it's right. If the beard is too short or the jacket the wrong grey, we fix it first.
