We didn't make her for a shelf. Like everything we sew, she was made to order from photos, for one person, and nobody else has her.

A portrait you can hug

We make two kinds of dolls of real people. Some have a painted face with fine detail, like our Little Witch. Others are fully plush, with the face stitched in thread. She's the second kind.

A plush portrait doesn't copy every freckle. It picks the few things people notice first and makes them big and clear. With her, that was easy: the hair, the hoodie and the smile.

Materials used

She's sewn from soft plush in a warm peach skin tone and filled with stuffing, so she's squishy to hug and still sits up on her own.

Her face is embroidered: the green eyes, the lashes, the smile and the teeth are all thread. The hair is long, soft faux fur in brown, left loose so it falls across her face the way the real girl's does.

Everything we use is safe and eco-friendly. For your doll we match the real person's hair color, eye color and favorite clothes as closely as fabric allows, and you choose the outfit.

Lead time

A plush portrait doll usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.

It starts with your photos. We work out which features to keep and how to simplify them for fabric. You approve the design before any sewing starts. Then comes the pattern, the embroidered face, the hair and the clothes. The face takes the longest, because a few stitches decide whether the doll looks like the person or not.

You get photos of the finished doll before we pack it. If something is off, we fix it and send new photos. Planning it for a birthday or another date? Tell us when you ask for a quote.

Delivery

We ship worldwide. Once the doll is packed, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and customs.

Around Christmas and other holidays, the post everywhere slows down. If the doll has to arrive for a birthday, add some extra time.

Ordering about two months ahead covers both the making and the shipping. Tell us your date with your photos, and we'll say straight away whether it works.

A portrait doll has one real test: the person sees it and recognizes themselves. That's why you approve the design before we start, and see the finished doll in photos before it leaves us. It ships only when you say it's right.
