Hamburgers: "the cornerstone of a nutritious breakfast." This hamburger man plush was sewn from the drawing and the wishes of a big fan of American food. He has googly eyes, a little felt hat and red shoes that are much too big for him.
He was made to order for one customer. Nothing here waits on a shelf. Every toy we sew starts with somebody's idea, and this idea was a burger with legs.
From a burger photo to a burger you can hug
The picture (it's the last one in the gallery) is half photo, half cartoon. Someone took a photo of a real burger and drew a hat, eyes, gloves, skinny yellow arms and legs and red shoes around it. The gloves and shoes are easy to sew. The food is harder, because fabric doesn't look like bread by itself.
So the burger got built layer by layer:
- an orange-red fleece bun with tiny sesame seeds stitched on top
- a frilly green lettuce leaf and a slice of ham
- a red tomato slice, a pale cheese corner and a shiny brown patty
- a soft beige bottom bun
The googly eyes and the white four-finger gloves come straight from the drawing. The hat came out a deep maroon with a yellow band, a bit darker than on paper.

Everything we use is safe and eco-friendly.
The bun is orange-red fleece, and the sesame seeds are stitched in yellow thread one by one. The rest of the burger is sewn from separate fabric pieces so each layer keeps its own color:
- fleece buns, top and bottom
- frilly green fabric for the lettuce
- a smooth, shiny fabric for the patty and the tomato
- felt for the hat and the big red shoes
- white plush for the gloves and cuffs
The eyes are googly eyes, just like in the drawing. The arms and legs are long and floppy, so he sits on the edge of a box or a shelf with his feet hanging down. For your toy we pick fabrics to match your picture, and we'll suggest options if something on paper needs a different material.
A toy like this usually takes 2–4 weeks.
First we study your picture and decide how to turn it into pattern pieces. A burger means a stack of separate layers, each cut, sewn and stuffed, then joined so it doesn't lean. Then come the arms, legs, gloves, shoes and the hat.
Small things take the longest: stitching the sesame seeds, frilling the lettuce, setting the eyes so the face looks right.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If something looks off, we fix it first. Got a birthday or anniversary coming up? Put the date in your quote request.
We ship worldwide. Once the toy is packed, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs. Sometimes it's as quick as 7.
Around holidays couriers get overloaded and parcels slow down. If the toy is a surprise for a birthday, an anniversary or Valentine's Day, leave yourself some room.
