This Jenny plush doll is First Mate Jenny from Bucky O'Hare: the cat from the planet Aldebaran with long pink hair, green eyes and silver armor set with red gems. We sewed her by hand to order for one collector. Nothing here is ready-made. Your Jenny gets made from your pictures and your wishes.

A lot of people who grew up in the early '90s have a soft spot for her. Some call her their first cartoon crush, some say she was the coolest one on the ship, and more than a few say she was their introduction to catgirls. If she was yours too, you already know why we wanted to sew her.

Who Jenny is

Larry Hama and Michael Golden created Bucky O'Hare. The comic first came out in May 1984 in Echo of Futurepast #1 from Continuity Comics. Then came the 1991 cartoon Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars and Konami's 1992 arcade game, where Jenny is one of the four heroes you can play. She pilots the Righteous Indignation and serves as first mate. She also has psychic powers from the Aldebaran Sisterhood that she keeps quiet about around the crew.

What this Jenny doll has

  • Long pink wool hair that falls past her hips
  • Green eyes, a small black nose and a white faux-fur ruff around her face
  • A softly sculpted fabric body, made for grown-up collectors
  • Removable outfits: the silver armor with red gems, a black catsuit with silver cuffs, a white robe with fluffy trim

Extra outfits are optional. One Jenny can switch from the bridge of the ship to a quiet night in.

Your version of her

Want the comic-book Jenny instead of the cartoon one? Different hair, a smaller doll, or wired limbs so she holds a pose? Tell us. We can also add a sound module or LED lights, choose velvet, plush or wool, change the colors, and embroider or print a name or a short message. Send a few screenshots or panels and we quote it for free. Prices start from $450.

Jenny is a fan piece from an independent studio. She is not official Bucky O'Hare merchandise. For more dolls like her, see Renamon, Carmelita Fox and the rest of our furry plush and comic character plush.

Jenny is a soft art doll, not a stuffed toy for kids. Her body is sewn from smooth fabric and gently sculpted, so she has a real figure under her clothes. Her face is fabric too, with green eyes, long lashes and a little black nose.

  • Hair: long pink wool, with a silver headpiece set with a red gem
  • Ruff: white faux fur around her cheeks
  • Armor: silver fabric with red gems, over black arms and legs, black gloves and heels
  • Spare outfits: a black catsuit and a white robe trimmed with fluffy faux fur

All materials are safe, and the fur is always faux. Prefer velvet, plush or more wool, or different colors? Say so in your order and we build your Jenny from those.

A Jenny doll usually takes 2-4 weeks to make.

There is no ready pattern to pull off a shelf. Each Jenny gets her own, sized and shaped to the version you want, cartoon or comic, and then she is sewn by hand: the sculpted body, the face, the hair, and every outfit fitted to her figure.

That is why we say usually. Handwork has its own pace, and we keep some time in reserve so a tricky detail never rushes the rest. Before she ships you get photos, and nothing goes out until you approve them.

Delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days. It depends on where you live, which courier you choose and the time of year.

Around the holidays couriers get busy and parcels slow down, sometimes a lot. If Jenny is a birthday present or meant for a convention, count the sewing time plus delivery and order early.

  • Sewing: usually 2-4 weeks
  • Shipping: 7-20 business days
  • For Christmas, send your order by November 1

A doll with a wardrobe makes a good surprise for a fan who still hums the theme song. Just leave enough time for both parts of the wait.

We have been sewing custom toys and dolls since 2009. Characters with tricky shapes are our everyday work, and a cat from Aldebaran with armor, long hair and a wardrobe is exactly that kind of job.

You see your Jenny in photos before she ships, so there are no surprises when the box opens.

If you don't love her for any reason, tell us within 14 days and you get a full refund. No need to explain why. She was made for you, and she should feel like the Jenny you remember.

Why?

No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.

Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.

Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.

You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.

One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.

That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
