This Dusty Crophopper plush started as a joke. Someone wanted to give a person their very own airline, so we took Dusty, the crop duster from Disney's Planes, and put that person's name plus "Airlines" along his side. Like every toy we make, he was sewn to order for that one gift. Nothing here sits on a shelf waiting.
The gift date was close, so this one was done in record time: a couple of days, back in 2017.
Why Dusty
Planes came out in August 2013 from Disneytoon Studios, a spin-off of the Cars world. Dusty is a small farm plane who sprays corn fields and dreams of flying in the Wings Around the Globe race. The catch: he's afraid of heights. Dane Cook voices him, and an old Navy Corsair named Skipper ends up as his coach. The sequel, Planes: Fire & Rescue, followed in 2014.
For a lot of families that was the movie for a while. Parents still talk about Planes birthday cakes, and grown kids say they can quote both films. A plane with a face and a big grin is an easy thing to love.
What we sewed

- A grey three-blade propeller with orange tips, and black wheels
- The custom "airline" lettering on the side and a colorful emblem on the tail

Dusty is sewn from soft premium fleece in his film colors, so he's light, squishy and easy to hold by a wing.
- Bright orange for the body, tail and wings
- White for the belly and the wing stripes
- Grey for the propeller and the cockpit windows, black for the wheels
- White fabric eyes with blue pupils, and black lettering along the side
The filling is hypoallergenic. Want a different name, a logo on the tail, a sound module or LED lights? Tell us before we start. Those details go in while we sew, not after.
A custom Dusty Crophopper plush usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
We draw the pattern from your pictures first. A plane is trickier than it looks: the wings need to stay level, the propeller has to sit right on the nose, and the face sits in the cockpit window.
Then come the cutting, the sewing, the face and the lettering. The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. Got a fixed date, like a birthday or a retirement party? Say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Couriers slow down around the holidays, so allow extra time then.
Planning him as a gag gift for a colleague, a pilot friend or a kid who wore out the Planes DVD? Add the making time and the delivery together, then count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before he ships, we send you photos of the finished toy. He's packed so the wings and propeller arrive in shape.
