A creature that only existed in a painting
This fantasy creature was invented by an artist and designer. She had a painting, a few rough sketches and a clear idea in her head of how it should look. What she didn't have was the creature itself, something you could hold and put on a shelf. So she asked us to make it, to order, just for her.
Nothing here came from a catalog. We don't keep ready toys. Every piece starts with one person's idea and ends up in that person's hands.
From her notes to our sketch
Her painting showed the mood: a pale creature with a crown, a red heart and a long blue tail. Her notes filled in the rest. Our artist turned all of that into a finished sketch, standing and sitting, so the proportions and details were settled before anyone touched the wool. You can see both sketches at the end of the gallery, next to her painting.
Needle-felted in wool
Then our makers needle-felted it. That means shaping loose wool fiber with a barbed needle, thousands of small jabs, until it firms up into a solid figure. It's slow work, and it's the right technique for a face like this one.
- grey wool body on four slim legs with dark hooves
- a calm, almost human face with dark eyes and small painted lips
- a gold crown with a star
- a stiff white collar around the neck
- a red heart on its side
- blue-green feathered legs and tail
It's a little strange, a little sweet, and exactly what she described.
Have a character of your own?
Maybe it lives in your sketchbook, in a story you're writing or in a dream you keep remembering. Send us whatever you have: a painting, a doodle, a few lines of text. Our artist can draw the sketch for you first, and you approve it before we start. More examples are on our plush from drawings page and in our OC plush collection.
This one is from $350. Yours will be made to your design and priced for it.
This creature is needle-felted from wool, not sewn from fabric. The wool is worked with a felting needle until it becomes dense and firm, so the figure holds its shape: the legs stand, the head stays up and the face keeps every small detail.
The grey body, the blue-green feathers and the red heart are all wool in different colours. The gold crown sits on top and the white collar wraps around the neck, just like in her painting.
- premium wool, hypoallergenic
- a firm, sculpted figure, made more for a shelf or desk than for squeezing
- colours matched to your reference
If your own character needs a softer, huggable body, tell us. We'll suggest the material that fits it best.
A felted figure like this one usually takes 2-4 weeks to make.
The time goes into a few stages. First our artist works out the sketch from your drawing or description, and you check it. Then the wool is built up layer by layer, the face is shaped, and details like a crown, collar or feathers are added one by one.
Needle felting can't be rushed much. Every curve is made by hand, and we leave a little reserve in the schedule for the surprises handmade work always brings. Before the toy ships, we send you photos to approve.
Delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days. The exact time depends on where you live, the shipping company and method, and the season.
Before holidays couriers get overloaded, and parcels can be late. If the creature is a gift for a birthday, an anniversary or a friend's art show, count back from that date and add the making time too.

We've been making custom toys since 2009, and plenty of them are original characters nobody had made before. Building a figure from a painting and a few notes is the kind of work we know well.
You see the sketch before we start and photos of the finished creature before it ships. And if you're still not happy with our work for any reason, even a purely personal one:
Full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Your character deserves to be done right. We want you to open the box and recognize it straight away.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
