For a lot of people, Stuart Little is a core childhood memory: the tiny white mouse who got adopted by a New York family and won them over. This Stuart Little plush is our take on him. He's got a white head with big pink ears, a knitted green sweater with blue stripes, rolled-up jeans and red lace-up sneakers. He stands on his own two feet. We sewed him by hand, made to order. We don't keep a shelf of ready mice, so every Stuart we make starts with your message and your wishes.
Who Stuart is
Stuart first appeared in E. B. White's 1945 book Stuart Little, illustrated by Garth Williams. In the book he's born into the Little family and is barely two inches tall. The 1999 film, directed by Rob Minkoff, changed the story. Eleanor and Frederick Little (Geena Davis and Hugh Laurie) adopt him from an orphanage. Their son George isn't sure about a mouse for a brother at first, and Snowbell the cat is even less happy. Michael J. Fox gives Stuart his voice. A model sailboat race in Central Park is where Stuart finally wins George over, and the 2002 sequel added Margalo the bird.
How we made him
His face is soft white plush with a faint pink blush, glossy black eyes, a pink nose and a thin stitched smile. The ears are wide and lined with pink, the way the film's Stuart has them. The sweater is a real knit: a green turtleneck with blue stripes across the chest and the sleeves. Below it he wears dark denim jeans and red canvas sneakers with white laces. That outfit is half the character, so we treat the clothes as carefully as the face.
Your Stuart
- The outfit from your favorite scene, or one you make up
- Any size, from a pocket mouse to one that sits on the sofa
- A copy of an old Stuart toy you loved to bits, new or with a worn, loved look
- Margalo or Snowbell to keep him company
Send a screenshot or a photo and tell us what matters to you. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. A Stuart Little plush like this starts from $335, and the quote is free.
More famous mice of ours: Bianca and Bernard from The Rescuers and our Jerry plush. If your old Stuart got lost, see our lost toy replicas. We're an independent studio, not official Sony Pictures merchandise.
Stuart's head and hands are short-pile white plush, soft enough to stroke and smooth enough to keep his face neat. The inner ears and the nose are pink. His eyes are black and glossy, and his smile is stitched in thin dark thread.
- A knitted green turtleneck sweater with blue stripes
- Dark blue denim jeans with rolled hems
- Red lace-up canvas sneakers with white soles and laces
The clothes fit him snugly, so he looks dressed, not wrapped. For your Stuart we match the colours to your pictures. A wire frame in the arms for posing, or a sound module, can go in on request.
A Stuart Little plush usually takes 2-4 weeks, with a small reserve for the surprises that come with handwork.
The head takes the longest. Stuart's charm is in the tilt of his head, the size of his ears and that small smile. Get one wrong and he's just a mouse. Then the outfit has to sit right on a small body.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you need him by a set date, tell us in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once Stuart leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country.
The post gets slow around the holidays, and December is the slowest month. For Christmas, order by November 1. More holiday ideas are on our custom Christmas plush page.
He's a good gift for someone who grew up on the films, or for a friend who still reads the book to their kids. Tell us the date, and we'll say right away whether sewing and shipping fit.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009. Before Stuart ships, we check that he stands steady, his ears sit level and his clothes stay in place.
You see photos of your Stuart before he's packed and can ask for changes then. That's the time to say if the stripes should be wider or the sneakers a brighter red.
If he arrives and you don't love him, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
