We sewed this red Angry Bird plush back in 2011, when it seemed every iPhone owner was playing the game. Red is round, red and furious, with a black frown and a yellow beak. He's here as a sample of what we make to order: one toy for one customer, in the size you pick. There's no shelf of ready-made birds waiting to ship.
The bird who started it
Angry Birds came out in December 2009, made by the Finnish studio Rovio. The pigs steal the birds' eggs, so you load the birds into a slingshot and fire them at the pigs' wobbly towers. By the end of 2010 it had passed 50 million downloads, and the next year it was the top paid app on the iPhone. Red was the first bird in the slingshot.
In The Angry Birds Movie (2016) he got a voice, Jason Sudeikis, and a backstory as the short-tempered outcast of Bird Island. One fan summed it up well: Red carries the whole movie on pure grumpiness. That's why people still want him.

Any size, from pocket to giant
We can make Red almost any size. A small one fits in a hand. A giant one can be up to 1.5 meters (about 5 feet), the kind you can flop onto. On Reddit, fans who grew up with the game still talk about the plush they lost years ago. We can sew a new Red from your photos or screenshots, or make Chuck, Bomb or a green pig to go with him.
For a gift, we can add a name tab with your greeting. You'll see photos of the finished toy before it ships. More game characters are in video game characters, and cartoon ones in toys from animated films.

Red is sewn from premium soft plush in a bright red. The belly is cream plush. The rest is matched to the game:
- Black fabric for the brows and the tail feathers
- White fabric for the big eyes, with small pupils set in
- Yellow fabric for the beak, sewn open
- Pink fabric for the tongue
The filling is hypoallergenic. If you want fluffier fur, we use faux fur only.
Extras like a name tab with a greeting, a sound module or a different size go in while we sew. Tell us at the start.
A red Angry Bird plush usually takes 2–4 weeks to make. Planning a giant one? Ask about timing when you write to us.
Red looks simple, but a round toy shows every mistake. The pattern has to give a clean ball with no flat sides. The frown has to sit at the right angle, or Red looks sleepy instead of angry.
The timeline includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need him by a birthday, say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays couriers slow down, so it can take a bit longer.
Red makes a good gift for someone who spent 2011 flinging birds at pigs on the bus. Add the making time and the delivery time together, then count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.
