People who see a good needle felted kitten in a photo often take it for a real one at first glance. Here's ours: a fluffy grey-and-white kitten felted from 100% wool, with big blue glass eyes and a silk ribbon around her neck. Each kitten we make is felted by hand and made to order, one at a time. Nothing waits on a shelf. Yours starts with your message.
What she looks like
Most of her is white wool, felted soft and left a little fuzzy at the cheeks, so her face looks round and fluffy. Her ears, the patch around her eyes and her nose are shaded grey. The eyes are glass, made by hand, a bright clear blue with dark pupils. You look at them first.
She stands on all four paws with her tail up behind her and her head tipped a little, as if she's just heard her name. A pale turquoise silk ribbon is tied in a bow at her neck, with a string of beads hanging from it. She's small: about 18-19 cm (roughly 7 inches), so she fits on a shelf, a desk or in two hands.
An older piece from our studio
We first showed her in 2015. Felting a toy like this takes patience: the wool is shaped with a needle, layer by layer, until the body holds its form and the face looks alive.
Your kitten
- Any coat: white, grey, ginger, tabby, black, or a colour mix from your photo
- Eye colour of your choice
- A different size, smaller or bigger
- Your own ribbon colour, or no ribbon at all
She can be a made-up kitten like this one or a copy of your own cat (see our pet plush page). Our licking striped cat is another felted cat, and more lifelike animals are in realistic stuffed animals. A felted kitten like this starts from $370. Send a photo or a few words, and the quote is free.
She's felted from 100% wool. The wool is soft to the touch, and the outer layer is left fluffy, so she looks like a real kitten's fur rather than a hard figurine.
- Body, head and tail: felted wool, white with grey shading
- Eyes: handmade glass, bright blue
- Neck: a 100% silk ribbon tied in a bow, with beads
A felted kitten is firmer than a sewn plush and keeps its pose. For your kitten we match the wool colours to your photos and pick the eyes to suit.
A felted kitten usually takes 2-4 weeks, with a small reserve for the surprises handwork brings.
The face takes the longest. The eyes have to sit at the right depth and the grey shading has to fade in softly, or she looks surprised instead of curious. The fluffy finish comes last, after the shape is done.
You get photos of the finished kitten before she ships. If you need her by a certain date, say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your kitten leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country.
The post slows down before holidays, and December is the slowest month. For Christmas, order by November 1. More gift ideas are on our custom Christmas plush page.
She makes a good birthday present for a cat lover. Tell us the date, and we'll tell you right away whether felting and shipping fit.
We've made toys to order since 2009. Before your kitten ships, we check that her eyes are set firmly and her ribbon is tied neatly.
You see photos of her before she's packed and can ask for changes then. That's the time to say if her ears should be darker or her eyes a different blue.
If she arrives and you don't love her, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
