Bring Back a Lost Toy
Some toys are more than toys. They slept in our beds, came on every trip and kept all our secrets. When one goes missing, it really hurts.
A lost toy replica, sewn just for you
Maybe your teddy bear vanished during a move. Maybe your child’s bedtime bunny was left on a train. Or maybe the stuffed animal you loved as a kid wore out from years of hugs, and nobody sells it anymore.
We can’t turn back time, but we can do the next best thing. From your photos, we sew a handmade replica of your lost stuffed animal: the same shape, the same colors, the little details you remember. Nothing comes off a shelf. Every replica is made to order, for one person and one toy.

More Than Just a Copy
From one faded photo: a childhood raccoon
All we had to start with was an old family picture. A girl in a blue dress, and a raccoon held tight against her: brown fur, a white band over a black mask, amber eyes, a pale little muzzle. The raccoon itself was long gone.
We worked out its shape from that photo, matched the fur and sewed it again by hand, bushy white-tipped tail included. See the childhood raccoon up close.

Ika the monkey, from a black-and-white snapshot
Ika was a little girl’s favorite monkey. The girl grew up, and somewhere along the way Ika was lost. We were asked to make her again, with nothing but old photos and what the family remembered about her.
The best picture was small, grainy and black and white. Ika came back with a dark brown body, a cream face, big cream ears, hands and feet, and a red smile. We made her around 2011. So yes, one grainy old photo can be enough. Meet Ika up close.
The family cat with a fish on a cord
This brown cat was a lost toy the whole family knew by sight. We made a copy from their photos and took in as many of the owner’s wishes as we could: fluffy fur, a pale muzzle with a brown nose, long whiskers and a little fish hanging on a cord around its neck. Meet the family cat.

A teddy bear sewn from an old robe
Not every keepsake starts out as a toy. Kate’s friend had a favorite robe that had worn out, and Kate asked us to turn it into a teddy bear instead of throwing it away. It became a soft white bear with blue eyes and pink paw pads. In Kate’s words: “It’s absolutely adorable and so very soft.” Read Kate’s review or see the robe bear.

A toy to hug again
Remember falling asleep with your favorite plush tucked under your chin? For many of us, that toy was our very first best friend. Holding a replica of your childhood toy brings that feeling right back: the comfort, the safety, the little world you shared.
A backup for a toy that’s loved to pieces
Some toys aren’t lost yet, just worn thin. If your child can’t fall asleep without one special bunny, a duplicate stuffed animal gives the whole family peace of mind. Keep one at home and one at grandma’s, or keep the original safe while the copy goes on adventures.
A gift that brings back a memory
Imagine your mom opening a box and finding the bear she lost when she was seven. Or your partner meeting the TV hero they grew up with. A custom plush replica from a photo is the kind of gift people never forget, because it’s made for one person and one story.
Searched everywhere and still can’t find it?
Most people try to track down the original first: online searches, secondhand listings, lost-toy search groups (our guide to finding a lost stuffed animal lists where to look). Sometimes it turns up. Often the toy was made decades ago, in a small batch, and there simply isn’t one left.
That’s where we come in. We don’t need a barcode, a brand name or the toy itself. We work from photos only, so your pictures and your memories are enough to recreate a childhood stuffed animal.
What photos to send
- Any photo where the toy is visible, even blurry, faded or in the background
- The front helps most; add the side or back if you have them
- Close-ups of what made it yours: a stitched smile, a patch, a bow, a missing eye
- The size you remember. A hand, a pillow or a child next to the toy in the photo helps us judge it
If something isn’t clear from the pictures, we ask before we start.
Will it be exactly the same?
Honestly, no copy is the toy you held. New fabric doesn’t have thirty years of hugs in it, and an old photo never shows every side. What we aim for is the moment you open the box and recognize your old friend.
That’s why you see photos of the finished toy before it ships, and if something looks off, we change it. We’ve been sewing custom plush toys since 2009, more than 2,100 of them so far. And if you still don’t love your replica, tell us within 14 days: full refund, and you keep the toy.
Friends from the screen, too
Some childhood friends lived on TV. We also recreate characters from old shows and cartoons, like ALF, Rugby Tiger or Flat Eric. And if your favorite toy only exists in a drawing, we can turn a drawing into a plush as well.

Questions people ask
Yes. That’s how every lost toy replica starts. One photo works, several are better, and old family snapshots count.
Usually, yes. Tell us the colors you remember, and we’ll ask about anything the photo can’t show. Ika the monkey above started from a snapshot like that.
No. We work from photos only, so a worn-out original stays safe at home with you.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
