If you've seen the orange frog dance, you know Patila. This Patila frog toy is our plush version of him: long thin arms and legs, cream stripes down the limbs, big tired eyes and a mouth that never quite smiles. We sewed him by hand, made to order. We don't keep ready toys on a shelf. Each one starts with a message from someone who wants their own.

Who Patila is

Patila is a 3D animated frog by the animator ArtNoux, who also writes the music for his videos. ArtNoux calls him an "amphibia sapiens": a frog who stands and moves like a person. His short "Patila - Missed The Stranger" went up on YouTube in September 2020 and now has over 700 million views. "The Dusk Call" followed in 2023, with Patila croaking at sundown the way frogs do. Fans have turned his moves into dance challenges and edits, which is why people search for the "orange frog dance".

How we made him

We printed a picture of Patila and drew the pattern for every piece on top of it. The body is plush in two colors, orange-brown on the outside of the arms and legs and cream on the inside, the way the cartoon frog is colored. A wire frame runs through his arms, legs and body, so he holds a pose. He can stand on one leg, wave, put a hand on his hip or lie back like he does in the cartoon.

The eyes went in once he was stuffed, each with a dark line over each one for that half-asleep look. Then we dressed him. In the cartoon Patila wears nothing at all. This one got a white tank top and navy shorts, and they come off.

Your Patila

  • Any size you like
  • Other colors, or a different outfit, or no clothes like the original
  • The wire frame for posing, as in this one
  • A sound module, if you want him to make noise

Send us a screenshot from the video, a drawing or a photo and tell us what matters most. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. A Patila plush like this starts from $365, and the quote is free.

His cousin from the internet is here too: our Pepe the Frog plush. More cartoon characters are in toys from animated films, and more internet favorites in popular toys. We're an independent studio, not official ArtNoux.

Patila is sewn from soft plush in two colors: orange-brown and pale cream. Each arm and leg is cut from both, so the cream runs along the inside of each limb, like on the cartoon frog.

  • A wire frame inside the arms, legs and body, so he keeps the pose you give him
  • Round white eyes with black pupils and a dark brow line
  • Long fingers and webbed feet in the same two-tone plush
  • A white tank top and navy shorts that come off

For your Patila we match the colors to your pictures. The outfit can change too, or he can go without it like the original.

A Patila frog toy usually takes 2-4 weeks, with a small reserve for the surprises that handwork brings.

The pattern comes first. His arms and legs are long and thin, and the cream stripe has to stay straight along every one of them. Then the wire goes in. It has to bend easily for a pose and then stay put. The clothes are sewn last, to fit him.

You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you need him by a set date, tell us in your first message.

We ship worldwide. Once he leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country.

Holidays slow the post down, and December is the slowest month. For Christmas, order by November 1. More holiday ideas are on our custom Christmas plush page.

He makes a good gift for someone who knows every step of the frog dance, or who sends the video to friends at 2 a.m. Tell us the date, and we'll say right away whether sewing and shipping fit.

We've sewn toys to order since 2009. Before Patila ships, we check that the wire bends smoothly, the stripes line up at the seams and the clothes fit.

You see photos of your toy before he's packed and can ask for changes then. That's the moment to say if his eyes should look sleepier or his shorts should be a different blue.

If he arrives and you don't love him, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Why?

No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.

Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.

Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.

You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.

One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.

That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
