He has horns, a mask for a face and bandages on his legs. And he's holding a big red heart with both paws. This plush monster holding a heart was sewn in our studio in 2019 from a drawing a customer sent us. He was made to order, for one person, from one picture.
From a drawing to a monster you can hug
People send us drawings all the time, and we sew original toys from them. A drawing is flat, though. It doesn't say which fabric to use or how a cloak should hang. So for every toy we pick the materials and the way it's built to match what the customer wants, and that's what we did here.
The body is soft grey plush. The head is stitched from panels, so the seams read like the edges of a mask, with three pale stripes running down over two round white eyes. One tall horn sits on top, two more stick out at the sides, and a few small nubs hide at the back. Around his neck there's a peach scarf, over his shoulders a grey cloak, and his legs are wrapped in white and grey bands.
Then the heart. It's fluffy, bright red and almost as big as his chest. It's the only warm color on him, so it's the first thing you notice.
Got a monster of your own?
Maybe it lives in a sketchbook, or on the back of a school notebook. We can sew it the same way. You could ask for:
- a different color, more horns or none at all
- a heart, a flower or a sign with a name in its paws
- clothes like a scarf, a cape or a hood
- any size, from a small desk buddy to a big hug pillow
We agree on the details with you before we start, and you see photos of the finished toy before it ships.

Most of this monster is short-pile grey plush. It holds a clean shape, which matters on a face built from panels. The cloak is a looser grey fabric that drapes over the arms and the back.
- Grey plush body, head and horns
- White eyes and pale stripes sewn onto the face
- A peach velvet-like scarf and a grey cloak
- White and grey bands on the legs
- A fluffy red heart that sits in his paws
The filling is hypoallergenic. If your monster needs fur, we use faux fur only. Extras like a sound module, LED lights, wire in the arms for posing or an embroidered name go in while we sew, so mention them in your first message.
A monster like this usually takes 2β4 weeks.
First we turn your drawing into a pattern and decide how each part will be built. A face made of panels has to line up exactly, or the mask looks crooked. The clothes come next, cut and fitted to his round body. The horns and the heart go on last.
The time frame includes a reserve for handmade surprises. If you need him by a certain date, tell us right away and we'll say honestly whether it works.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7β20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays the mail gets slower, so plan extra time.
A monster with a heart suits a date you can't miss: a birthday, an anniversary, Valentine's Day. Add the making time to the shipping time and count back. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before we pack him, you get photos of the finished toy. We pack him so the horns and the cloak arrive in shape.
We've been sewing custom plush since 2009. A lot of those toys started like this one: a drawing and a few words from the customer.
We agree on the details before we sew, and you see photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you still don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Only have a rough doodle? That's enough to start. We'll ask about colors, size and the small things, like how big the heart should be.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
