Every farm has one. The rooster who was supposed to crow at dawn and looks like he's still thinking about it. This rooster stuffed animal has half-closed eyes inside thick red rings that sit on his face like a pair of glasses, and his beak hangs open mid-yawn. Or mid-complaint. Hard to tell.
We sewed him made to order, like every toy in our studio. We don't sell ready toys from a shelf. You tell us what you want, and we sew that one for you.
How he looks
He stands on his own two legs, thin and tan with ribbed joints, long toes and little black claws. The body is round and soft: a bright yellow belly with an orange band, a rust-orange back and wings. His wings end in long black feathers that spread out like fingers, and a black tail fans out behind him.
The head is the best part. A glossy yellow beak, a red comb of curly tubes on top, two long red wattles and those red-rimmed blue eyes, looking up at you like you woke him.
A goofy rooster, not a cute one
Most rooster plush you see is either realistic or sugary sweet. This one is neither. He's a cartoon character with a mood. If you keep chickens, you've probably met this exact rooster at six in the morning.

He mixes soft plush with shiny parts, and that contrast is what makes the face.
- Short-pile plush in yellow, orange and rust for the head, belly, back and wings
- Glossy faux leather for the beak, the comb and the red rings around the eyes
- Smooth red fabric for the long wattles
- Black velvety fabric with grey tips for the wing feathers and the tail, plus peach feathers under the wings
- Tan ribbed fabric for the legs and toes, with black claw tips
- White eyes with blue irises
For your rooster we pick fabrics from your drawing or photos and show you the colors before we start. Wire in the legs or neck for posing, a sound module or a working puppet mouth are possible on request.
A rooster like this usually takes 2-4 weeks to make. The estimate keeps a small reserve for handwork surprises.
We start with the pattern. A long-legged bird has to stand on its own, so the legs and the body need to balance before anything else. Then come the wings and the tail, feather by feather.
The face is last. The angle of the eyelids decides whether he looks sleepy, grumpy or surprised, so we take our time with it.
Need him by a certain date? Say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your rooster is packed, delivery usually takes 7-20 business days, depending on your country.
The post slows down around the holidays, so allow a few extra days in December. For Christmas, order by November 1. More gift ideas are on our custom Christmas plush page.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished toy. Check the comb, the eyes and the tail, tell us if something should change, and we send him after you say yes.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009. Birds come up a lot, cartoon ones and realistic ones, and the face is where they live or die.
That's why you see your rooster in photos before he's packed. That's the time to ask for a taller comb, brighter feathers or a less sleepy look.
If he arrives and you don't love him, tell us within 14 days and you get a full refund, for any reason.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
