He looks like he just stepped out for a walk around the courtyard. Big round eyes, ear tufts sticking up, a cream hoodie, and little claws peeking out from under the hem. We call him the little hooligan. This custom owl plush was sewn by hand in our studio in 2025, and like everything we make, it's made to order. There's no shelf of ready owls here: you tell us what you want, and we sew one for you.
A real-looking owl in a hoodie
The fun of this toy is the mix. From the neck up he's close to a real owl: brown faux fur with darker flecks, a pale cream face, a small beak and two huge glossy eyes. Those eyes do most of the talking.
Then there's the outfit. The hoodie is sewn to fit his round body, with a kangaroo pocket and a hood that really goes up. Pull it over his head and he looks even more like a small courtyard hooligan. Fluffy wing tips poke out of the sleeves like hands, and brown toes with dark claws stick out underneath.
He's small enough to hold in one hand. We took his photos outside, on a park bench and on the paving stones of the yard.
What we could make for you
This owl is one of the toys we show when someone asks, "Can you make a realistic animal, but dressed?" Yes. You could ask for:
- another kind of owl, like a barn owl or a snowy owl
- a hoodie in your colors, or with a name embroidered on it
- a bigger owl, from a desk buddy up to something you can hug
- a different animal in the same kind of outfit
Send a photo, a sketch or just a few words. You approve the details before we start, and you see photos of the finished toy before it ships.

The owl is built from layered faux fur: brown with darker flecks on the head and ear tufts, pale cream around the face, so the colors change the way real feathers do. We only use faux fur, never real fur.
- Faux fur head, ear tufts, body and wing tips
- Big glossy eyes and a small pale beak
- Brown toes with dark claws
- A soft cream fleece hoodie with a pocket and a hood, cut to his shape
The filling is hypoallergenic. Extras like a sound module, LED eyes, wire in the wings for posing or an embroidered name on the hoodie go in while we sew, so mention them in your first message.
An owl like this usually takes 2β4 weeks.
First we agree on the owl itself: what kind, which colors, how big, and what he wears. Then we make two patterns, one for the body and one for the clothes. A hoodie has to fit a round, furry body and still let the hood go up over the ear tufts.
The face comes last, since a few millimeters around the eyes change the whole expression. The time frame includes a reserve for handmade surprises. Have a date in mind? Tell us early.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7β20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays mail gets slower, so give it extra time.
A dressed owl is an easy gift for someone who collects owls, or for a friend who lives in hoodies. For a birthday, add the making time to the shipping time and count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before we pack him, you get photos of the finished owl. We pack him so the ear tufts and the hood arrive in shape.
We've been sewing custom plush since 2009, from realistic animals to cartoon characters, and every one of them starts as a conversation with the customer.
You agree on the details with us before we sew, and you see photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you still don't love your owl, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Not sure what kind of owl you want yet? Send a few pictures you like. We'll ask about the rest: eye color, how fluffy, what he should wear.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
