A little girl met this dinosaur at a party. It was a hard figure, and you can't really hug a hard figure. She wanted the same one, only soft, and that winter she put it in her wish to Ded Moroz, the Russian Grandfather Frost. So we sewed her a big T-rex plush by hand, copied from the photo her family sent. Like every toy here, it was made to order for one child. Nothing waits on a shelf.
That photo is the last one in the gallery: the girl at a summer party with the dino in her arms. Our job was to keep everything she loved about it and lose the hard part.
A hard toy, made huggable
A figure can be any shape it likes. A plush has to hold its shape with fabric and filling alone. So we kept the outline of the original, the heavy head, the short arms and the long tail, and made all of it soft.
The details that make it look like that same dino:
- green fabric printed with a scale pattern
- yellow and dark stripes down the back and along the tail
- a cream belly and jaw
- red eyes set in dark lids
- white claws on the hands and feet
It sits on its own, with the tail resting on the floor behind it. And it's a big toy, not a shelf ornament.
Have a toy you wish were soft?
Maybe it's a plastic dinosaur, a rubber figure or a puppet. Send us a photo, even just one, like this family did. We'll agree on the size and colors with you, sew it by hand, and send photos of the finished plush before it ships.
More to look at: a giant plush dinosaur kids can climb on, other realistic stuffed animals, and replicas of lost childhood toys.
This T-rex is all soft fabric and filling. No hard parts, which was the whole point of the order.
- Green plush fabric printed with a scale pattern for the body, arms, legs and tail
- Yellow and dark stripes on the back and tail to match the original figure
- Cream fabric for the belly and the lower jaw
- Red eyes in dark lids, and white fabric claws
The filling is soft and hypoallergenic, packed firmer in the legs and tail so the dino sits up on its own. Want a different color or a fuzzier look? Faux fur works too. On request we can add a sound module, wire in the arms so they bend, or an embroidered name.
A dino like this one usually takes 2β4 weeks.
We start with your photo and agree on the size, colors and pose. Then comes the pattern. The head is the hard part: it has to be big and heavy-looking like the original, but still sit straight on a soft neck. After that we sew the body, add the stripes and claws, and set the eyes last.
The time includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you have a birthday or a holiday in mind, tell us the date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7β20 business days, depending on your country and the courier. Around the holidays parcels move slower, so leave a few extra days.
This dino was a winter holiday gift, and that's when timing gets tight. Add the making time to the delivery time and count back from the day. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before we ship, you get photos of the finished toy. Then we pack it so the head and tail arrive in shape.
We've been sewing custom plush since 2009. Your photo shows us the shape. Our job is to keep it in fabric.
You agree on the details with us before we sew, and you see photos of the finished plush before it ships. If you still don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Only have one blurry photo, like a snapshot from a party? Send it anyway. We'll ask about the parts we can't see, such as the back or the tail.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
