This Lord Tirek plush is the big bad of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, sewn by hand in our studio in 2015. Red arms, grey centaur legs, huge horns and a white beard. He was made to order for one fan, and that's how we make every toy here: from the pictures and wishes you send, not from a shelf.
MLP villains hardly ever get merch. Fans have been saying it for years: plenty of Twilight and Rainbow Dash plushies, almost no Tirek, Sombra, Chrysalis or Cozy Glow. When a Tirek plush does turn up, fans mostly complain about the face. So we started with the face.
Who Lord Tirek is
Tirek is a centaur who steals magic. In the season 4 finale, "Twilight's Kingdom" (2014), he drains the ponies one by one and grows from a frail old prisoner into a giant, until Twilight Sparkle takes him on in Ponyville. Mark Acheson voiced him. He comes back in season 9 with Queen Chrysalis and Cozy Glow. Longtime fans know him from much earlier too: he started as Tirac in the 1984 special Rescue at Midnight Castle.
What we sewed
- Tall grey horns and a white faux-fur topknot over a black mane
- A sculpted red face with yellow eyes, a nose ring and a wide grin
- A long white faux-fur beard over a silver collar
- A black faux-leather vest and thick red arms with long fingers
- A grey pony body with white hooves and a white tail
He stands on his own four legs, with the arms out like he's about to take somebody's magic.
Your Tirek, your way
Want the fully powered-up giant, a small desk-sized Tirek, or his brother Scorpan next to him? Send us screenshots or fan art and tell us what matters to you. We can change the size and the shades of red, black and grey, embroider a name or a quote, add a printed design, a sound module, glowing LED eyes or arms that hold a pose. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships.
Collecting the whole cast? We also made Princess Luna, and there are more cartoon characters in toys from animated films.
We're an independent studio. This is a handmade fan piece, not an official Hasbro product.
Tirek is sewn from premium fabrics, and each part of him gets its own:
- Plush for the red arms, the face and the grey pony body, so he still feels like a soft toy when you hold him
- Velvet for a deeper, richer color where you want it
- Faux leather for the black vest, with a slight shine
- White faux fur for the beard, the topknot and the tail (we only use faux fur, never real)
Want a darker red or a lighter grey? Tell us. Extras like a sound module, LED eyes or poseable arms go in while we sew, so mention them at the start.
A Lord Tirek plush usually takes 2β4 weeks to make.
A centaur is two toys in one. The pony body needs four legs that hold the weight, and the human half has to sit on top without tipping forward. Then the horns, the vest and the beard, all cut to his proportions.
The face goes last and takes the longest: the nose, the eyes, the grin. That's what makes him look like Tirek and not a random red demon. The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises, so if you have a date in mind, tell us in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7β20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Near the holidays couriers slow down, so it can take longer.
If Tirek is a birthday present for a pony fan or a surprise for the MLP shelf, add the making time and delivery together and count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before he leaves the studio, we send you photos of the finished toy. Then we pack him so the horns and the beard arrive in shape.
We've been sewing custom plush since 2009. Most of our orders are characters you can't find in any store, and a villain with a sculpted face, horns and four legs is exactly that kind of job.
MLP fans know every detail of the show, so you see photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you still don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Not sure about the size, the colors or which version of Tirek to make? Ask before we start. A detail is much easier to get right in the pattern than to fix later.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
