In the cartoon he never gets a quiet afternoon. Here he finally does. This Masha and the Bear plush is the Bear himself, resting in his favourite armchair. We sewed him by hand in 2014, made to order for one customer. That's why he wears headphones and holds a pair of binoculars: the customer asked for them.

Nothing on this page is in stock. Every toy we make starts with a message telling us which character you want and what should make him yours.

Who the Bear is

Masha and the Bear is the Russian cartoon by Oleg Kuzovkov and the Animaccord studio. It first aired in 2009 and is loosely based on an old folk tale. The Bear is a retired circus performer who wants a calm life in his house in the forest. Then there's Masha, the little girl who lives nearby, and his calm life is over. He grumbles and he gives in, and he keeps her out of trouble anyway.

Kids around the world know him. The show runs in dozens of languages, and one episode, "Recipe for Disaster", has passed 4.6 billion views on YouTube. Parents often end up liking that patient bear as much as their kids do.

What makes this one his own

  • A big plush, one of our large-size toys
  • Rusty-brown faux fur, with a tan belly, muzzle and paw pads
  • A big black nose and the Bear's wide, worried eyes
  • Long dark claws on all four paws
  • Black headphones and binoculars, added at the customer's request

You can keep him true to the show or give him your own extras: a hat, a scarf, a guitar, a name stitched on. Pick the size in the order form. Before he ships you get photos of the finished toy to approve.

Another cartoon bear we've made is the black-furred Baloo. For a really huge bear, see Ted. More cartoon favourites are in Toys From Animated Films.

We're an independent studio. This is a handmade fan piece, not an official Animaccord product.

The Bear is sewn from premium plush and long-pile faux fur. The shaggy rusty-brown coat is what makes him read as Masha's Bear from across the room.

  • Rusty-brown faux fur for the body, head and limbs
  • Short tan plush for the belly, muzzle, inner ears and paw pads
  • A large glossy black nose and hand-set eyes
  • Long dark claws on every paw
  • Headphones and binoculars made for this order

The filling is hypoallergenic, and the fur is always faux, never real. Want him with different extras, a sound module or poseable limbs? Say so in your first message. It changes the pattern, so we plan it from the start.

A Masha and the Bear plush usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.

A big toy needs a pattern that holds its shape. The belly has to stay round, the head has to sit right on the shoulders, and the legs have to carry the weight so he sits steady.

The face and the extras come last. The eyes decide whether he looks tired, worried or amused, so we place them by hand. The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. Need him by a birthday? Tell us the date at the start.

We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays parcels move slower, so leave some extra time.

The Bear is a natural birthday gift for a child who watches the show every morning, or for a parent who's seen every episode twice. Add the making time to the delivery time and count back from your date. For Christmas, order by November 1.

You get photos of the finished toy before he leaves the studio. We pack a big bear so his claws, nose and ears arrive in shape.

We've been making custom plush since 2009. Kids know the Bear's face very well, and they spot it straight away when a toy doesn't look like him.

So you see photos of your Bear before he ships. If you don't love him, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Want Masha next to him, or another friend from the forest? Ask before we start. A set is easier to plan as one order, and the two will match in size and style.

Why?

No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.

Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.

Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.

You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.

One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.

That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
