This custom fox plush started as a drawing. A customer sent us their red fox on paper, and we sewed it by hand into a big, soft toy with green eyes, eyebrows and a grin that takes up half his face. He was made to order for that one person. We don't keep ready foxes on a shelf. Every one we make begins with what you send us.
Look at the face first. The eyebrows tilt up, the lashes are drawn in black, the mouth is wide open with a pink tongue. In one photo he tilts his head and lets an ear flop. A cartoon fox lives or dies by its expression, and on a sketch it takes three pencil lines. In plush it takes a pattern built around those lines.
A cartoon fox that's still a red fox
The drawing kept the real fox markings, so we did too. Ginger body, white chest and cheeks, black legs and paws, black backs on the ears. Real red foxes have darker legs and a tail that runs about 70 percent of their body length, which is why his tail is a long, fluffy, white-tipped thing that curls around him when he sits. The green eyes are pure cartoon. That was the customer's call, and it's what people notice first.
What you can change on yours
Plenty of people say they collect fox plushies and still can't find the one they have in their head. Maybe it's your own fox character, or a fox you doodled years ago. Send the drawing, a ref sheet or a photo and we'll talk it through:
- Fur shade: classic ginger, a darker red, silver, arctic white
- Eye color and expression: grinning, sleepy, smug
- How fluffy the tail and chest ruff are
- An embroidered name tag
- A small accessory: a scarf, a bow or a heart

The red fox is sewn from premium plush fabrics and filled with soft hypoallergenic stuffing. Strong stitching holds it all together, so he is built for hugs.
Each part of him uses a different fabric:
- Short ginger plush on the body, so the fox shape stays clean
- Black plush on the legs and paws, and on the backs of the ears
- Long white faux fur on the chest ruff, the cheeks and the tail tip (we only use faux fur, never real)
- Glossy green eyes, black lashes and eyebrows, and a big shiny black nose
The fur shade, the eye color and the length of the ruff and tail can all change on your fox. Want sound, lights or legs that hold a pose? Ask. We add them on request.
A fox like this one usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
The pattern is the slow part. A drawing is flat, so we work out how the wide cheeks, the open mouth and the long tail look from the side and the back before any fabric gets cut. Then the sewing: ginger, black and white pieces have to meet in the right places, or the markings drift.
The face goes last, because it decides whether he grins or just looks surprised. The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If he's for a birthday, tell us the date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier.
Around the holidays couriers get slower, so leave extra room. For Christmas, order by November 1.
A fox plush is a common gift for someone with a fox character, a fox nickname or a shelf full of fox toys already. Add the making time and delivery together and count back from the day you want him there.
Before he leaves the studio, we send you photos of the finished fox. Then we pack him so the tail and the chest ruff arrive fluffy, not flattened.
