A lot of people who played Spyro the Dragon on the PlayStation in 1998 are in their thirties now. Ask them about merch and you hear the same sentence: the toy they wanted as a kid, they never got. Plenty of them end up buying one for themselves twenty-five years later.
We sew every Spyro plush to order, for the person who asked for it. There is no shelf of ready dragons here. You send a screenshot, box art or your own drawing, tell us which Spyro you mean and how big you want him, and we make that one by hand.
Which Spyro do you mean?
Fans are specific about this, and they are right to be. There is the cocky little dragon Insomniac Games put on the PS1 in 1998, with Sparx the dragonfly buzzing beside him. There is the Reignited version Toys for Bob remade in 2018. And there is the older, sharper Spyro from The Legend of Spyro trilogy (2006–2008), the one who goes after Malefor and flies with Cynder.
Official plush toys mostly cover the Reignited and Skylanders looks, and they come and go in limited drops. The Legend of Spyro design, the one a whole generation grew up on, has barely been made at all — Numskull's full-size Spyro plush never got past a single prototype and only the keyring version reached shops. That gap is usually why people write to us.
The dragon in these photos
Our Spyro stands 35 cm tall, sewn from fleece, with a wire frame in his paws and wings. He holds a pose instead of flopping over: stands on four legs, crouches, keeps his wings half open on a shelf. The Spyro here is the classic purple one: gold horns, gold wings, a gold belly panel and gold spikes down his back. We have also sewn a darker Spyro, deep purple with red horns and red wings, for a customer who asked for that version.
Yours does not have to match either. Pick the size, from a desk dragon to one big enough to lean on. Pick the colors, right down to a dark Spyro if that is the version you love. Add a gem, a little flame, or your name stitched into him.
Made for one person
Before anything is packed we send you photos, so nothing ships until you are happy with the face. We are an independent studio and this is a handmade fan piece, not official Activision merchandise.
If you want the rest of the hoard, look at Cynder, our Toothless, and the other video game characters we have sewn.
The Spyro in our photos is sewn from soft fleece, with a wire frame inside his paws and wings. That frame is the reason he can stand on four legs, crouch, or hold his wings half open on a shelf instead of sagging flat.
Other builds are possible, and people ask for them: premium plush fabric with soft felt details and hypoallergenic stuffing, which hugs better if the dragon is going to live in a bed rather than on a shelf. Colors are yours — classic purple with gold horns and wings, a darker purple with red horns and red wings, or shades matched to a screenshot you send.
- Poseable wings, legs and head
- Embroidery: a name, initials or a gamer tag
- Small props: a gem, a crystal, a flame
- A sound module, or LED glow in the eyes or wings
- Collector's gift box for the shelf
Whatever you choose, the toy is made from safe, eco-friendly materials.
Sewing usually takes 2–4 weeks. A dragon is one of the slower toys we make. The wings need a pattern that holds its shape, the horns are built one at a time, and the face has to read as Spyro from across the room, not only up close.
That window carries a little reserve, because handmade work throws surprises. Before anything is packed, we send you photos for approval. If the eye shape or the purple is not right, that is when we fix it.
Shipping takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on where you live, the carrier and the method you pick. Most of that range is customs and local post rather than us.
Around the holidays couriers slow down, and a Spyro plush is usually a birthday or Christmas gift. Add the sewing time to the shipping time and count backwards from the date you need it: a dragon ordered in early November is comfortable for December, one ordered in mid-December is not.
We ship worldwide and your dragon travels boxed. Ask for collector's gift packaging if he is going straight under a tree.
We have been sewing complex custom plush since 2009 — characters with horns, wings, wire frames and faces that fans know by heart. Spyro is exactly that kind of job. Get the muzzle or the eye shape slightly wrong and any fan spots it in a second.
So we work from your reference pictures, show you photos before the toy ships, and stand behind it afterwards. If you are not satisfied with our craftsmanship for any reason within 14 days, we issue a full refund — no questions asked.
Ordering a handmade dragon from people you have never met takes some trust. That guarantee is how we earn it.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
