Description

This romance started with a sticker. A hamster sticker, the one a couple kept sending each other in their messenger. Then the story took an unexpected turn: that hamster became a real plush, and in its paws it holds the little red box an engagement ring goes in.

From a sticker to a hamster you can hold

A sticker is flat and drawn in a few lines. A plush has to work from every side. So the hamster got a round golden-orange body, a cream muzzle and belly, dark brown ears and paws, two small brown horns and an orange tuft on top. Big glossy black eyes, a brown nose, and a red tongue sticking out of a wide grin.

The paws hold the red ring box against his chest. Open the lid and a small light glows inside, right where a ring would catch it.

How does it end?

Materials used

The Proposal Hamster is sewn from soft plush in golden orange, with lighter cream plush for the muzzle, cheeks and belly. The ears, paws, feet and the two small horns are dark brown, so the paws holding the box stand out against his tummy.

His eyes are glossy plastic domes, big and black like on the sticker, and the nose is a soft brown bump. The red tongue is outlined in black. Inside he's filled with soft stuffing: plump enough to sit up on his own, soft enough to squeeze.

Lead time

A plush like this usually takes 2–4 weeks. Some toys are quicker. The range leaves room for the small surprises every handmade toy brings.

It starts with the sticker. We work out how a flat drawing turns into a body you can hold, and you approve the design before any fabric is cut. Then the pattern, the sewing, the paws that have to grip a box, and the face last, because the face is what gets looked at first.

We ship worldwide. Once the toy leaves us, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and your customs office.

Around Christmas and other holidays the post slows down everywhere, so add time if the plush has to arrive by a certain day. A proposal is the one gift that really can't be late. Give the parcel a comfortable margin and plan the evening for after it lands, not before.
