All he'll say is that he's got cups on his ears. Push him and the real answer comes out: Bright Harbor has beaches, and cups sound like the ocean. A dumb joke wrapped around the thing he actually wants.

The fox from Possum Springs
Gregg Lee is the loud one in Night in the Woods, the 2017 game from Infinite Fall and Finji. Dead-end shift at the convenience store, a boyfriend named Angus, a plan to get out of town, and a habit of calling every bad idea "crimes". Fans quote him endlessly — Crimes, Gregg rulz ok — and then go quiet about the part underneath the noise, which is the part that makes them want him on a shelf.
Built from fan art, not the game sprite
Our customer didn't send a screenshot. He sent a detailed piece of Gregg Lee fan art: real fur, a shaped muzzle, green eyes under a hard black brow. Flat game art is easy to sew and looks flat in fabric. This was the harder version, and it's why he reads as an animal instead of a cartoon.

Gregg is built from two weights of fur. Low-pile fur covers the body and the face, so the muzzle, the brow and the sly little grin hold their shape instead of disappearing into fluff. Long-pile fur does the opposite job on the tail and the ear tufts, which is where he gets his scruff.
The clothes are sewn as real clothes, not printed on:
- Leatherette jacket with a collar, zip and sleeves that crease like a real one
- Plush and fabric for the trousers, the shirt collar and the grey felt shoes
- Soft stuffing through the body, firm enough to sit or stand, soft enough to squeeze
Everything we use is safe and eco-friendly.
A Gregg takes 3 to 4 weeks. He is a doll with an outfit, not a single sewn shape, so the jacket, the trousers and the shoes are each patterned and made separately before he can get dressed.
The order of the weeks is usually the same: pattern, body, tail and ears, then the face, then the clothes and the small props. The face is done slowly, because the whole toy lives or dies on that sideways grin.
