Midnighter didn't come from a show or a game. This character came from one person's sketchbook. This custom OC doll was made to order from the character sheet its creator sent us, and there is no other one like it.
Anyone who draws an original character knows the problem. You can buy a doll that's sort of close, but the outfit is wrong, the hair is wrong, and it never quite feels like your OC. So we start from your art and build the doll around it.
From character sheet to doll
The art showed a tall, slim figure in a white mask with a small crescent moon on the forehead and dark eye slits. Long navy hair flows back and ends in a curl shaped like a heart. The outfit is a light blue tunic with a gray sash, gray-blue shoulder armor and a long dark cape. On the sheet Midnighter is 6'11". The doll is a lot smaller, of course.
Here is how we built the doll. The hair and the clothes are needle-felted wool, so the heart curl holds its shape in the air. The mask face, the hands, the legs, the shoes and the armor are smooth and hand-painted, with every line of the mask copied from the drawing. The cape is real fabric and moves when you turn the doll. Midnighter stands on a round black stand, hands held in a heart around a small blue felt heart, the same pose as in the second drawing.
The photos are from spring 2023. Both reference drawings are at the end of the gallery, so you can compare them with the finished doll.
Your anime OC as a doll
Send us what you have: a full character sheet, a couple of sketches, or a single portrait. Tell us which details matter most. For Midnighter it was the mask, the hair and the hand pose. Midnighter mixes two techniques, each used where it works best.
- Needle-felted wool for the hair and clothes. Felt can be shaped almost like clay, so the hair keeps its heart-shaped curl.
- Smooth hand-painted parts for the mask, hands, legs, shoes and armor, so the mask lines stay as sharp as in the drawing.
- A fabric cape that hangs and moves like real cloth, and a round black stand.
Your OC might need something else: a soft plush body to hug, faux fur for a fluffy tail, or wire so the arms pose. Tell us whether the doll will live on a shelf or in your arms, and we'll pick the materials.
A custom OC doll like Midnighter usually takes 2–4 weeks.
First we plan the proportions from your art. A drawing can show things a doll has to solve in 3D, like a curl floating in the air. Then comes the felting, layer by layer, and the painting of the mask and hands.
If you only have a front view, we'll ask how the back of the hair or the cape should look. The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the doll is a gift, put the date in your first message.
Once your doll is finished, shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post slows down, so allow a few extra days.

Before it goes out, you get photos of the finished doll from several sides. Compare them with your character sheet: the mask, the colors, the pose. It ships only after you say yes.
