In Russian she's called Zaika Tsvetochek, which comes out as "Little Flower Bunny". This needle felted bunny was made in 2014 for one client, to the wishes that client gave us. There is only one of her, and no copies. Everything we make is made to order, for one person and the bunny they have in mind.
Small, soft and a little shy
She stands about 18 cm (7 in) tall and is felted from white wool, so the surface has that soft halo of loose fibres you only get with felt. Her long lop ears hang down past her shoulders, tan on the inside. The paw pads are tan too.
The face does most of the work. Round dark eyes with a shine, thin brows, pink cheeks, a pink nose and a small closed smile. She holds a pink felted flower up against her cheek. Its centre is purple and blue wool with glass beads sewn in, and a bit of lace peeks out from under the petals.
She can move
Her head and paws are set on cotter-pin joints, the same kind of joint used in jointed teddy bears: a disc inside the limb, a disc inside the body and a pin that holds them together. So she can turn her head, raise a paw or sit with her legs out, the way she does in the photos.
Your bunny next
People who try felting a bunny themselves often say the eyes are the hardest part. Get them slightly wrong and the bunny looks startled, or a bit lost. That's the part we take slowest.
If a felted bunny has sat on your wishlist for years, tell us about it. Colours, ear shape, what she holds, how big. A picture helps, but a description works too.
- Fur colour and markings, or a copy of a real pet rabbit
- Size: small like this one, or bigger
- Something to hold: a flower, a carrot, a tiny heart
A custom felted bunny starts from $425 and the quote is free. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. For more felted work, look at our needle felted fox or the felted goat, or browse other original characters we've made.
She is felted from wool: white for the body and head, tan for the inner ears and the paw pads. The cheeks are blushed pink, and the brows are worked in a darker shade.
The eyes are made of polymer clay, glossy and dark. The flower is felted wool too, in pink with a purple and blue centre, finished with glass beads and a scrap of lace.
Inside, the head and paws sit on cotter-pin joints, so they turn. For your bunny we pick the wool colours to match what you describe or send us.
- Moving head and paws on joints, as on this one
- Any wool colour, markings or accessory you ask for
A felted bunny like this usually takes 2-4 weeks. We keep a little spare time in that figure, because handwork doesn't always go to plan.
Felting is slow by nature. The wool is shaped stab by stab with a barbed needle until it holds its form, then each part is jointed and the face is built up. The eyes and the expression take the longest.
You get photos of the finished bunny before it ships. If you need her by a set date, say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your bunny leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs.
She's small and light, but the post still slows down around the holidays, and before Christmas most of all. For a Christmas gift, order by November 1. For Easter or a birthday, leave yourself a few spare days.
Tell us your date when you first write. We'll say right away whether it works, counting the felting and the shipping together.
We've been making toys to order since 2009, and small felted pieces are some of the fussiest work we do. A few millimetres on an eye changes the whole face.
That's why you see photos of your bunny before she's packed, and you can ask for changes then. If she arrives and you don't love her, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Same promise on every toy we make.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
