Someone had a cartoon portrait of their family: dad holding the baby, mom right beside them. We turned that picture into three custom family dolls you can hold.
We don't sew these in advance. Every family set is made to order from one picture or a few photos, so this mom, dad and baby exist only once.
From the drawing to the dolls
The drawing gave us everything we needed. Dad wears black rectangular glasses and has a light stubble, and we stitched both onto his face line by line. He has short dark hair, a royal blue sweater over a light blue collar, and navy trousers.
The baby sits in his arms in a white onesie and a pointed white cap, with blue eyes and a small, slightly crooked smile.
Mom has long pale blonde hair gathered into a ponytail over one shoulder. Her pink cotton dress has puffed sleeves and a waistline seam, and a little sky-blue bag hangs at her side, just like in the picture.
All three faces are embroidered. Nothing is printed or painted on, so the faces stay put after years of hugs.
Your family as dolls
You can send a cartoon or a sketch you already love, or just send photos. Then tell us who goes into the set. A new baby, the grandparents, the dog: each figure is sewn as its own doll. Want them to hold each other, the way dad holds the baby here? Say so at the start.
Portrait dolls are usually 30-50 cm (12-20 in) tall, and we can go bigger or smaller. The price is per doll: from $385 each, so a family of three counts as three dolls. The quote is free.

Soft cream plush for the faces and hands, so the dolls feel like a toy and not a figurine.
- Embroidery for the eyes, brows, lips, dad's glasses and his stubble
- Dark brown faux fur for dad's short hair
- Pale yellow plush for mom's long ponytail
- Royal blue and navy plush for dad's sweater and trousers
- Pink cotton for mom's dress, sewn as a real little garment
- White plush for the baby's onesie and cap
For your family we match hair color, eye color, glasses and the clothes from your picture. Small accessories like a bag or a hat are part of the job.
One portrait doll usually takes 2-4 weeks. A whole family set can take longer, so we'll confirm the timing with your quote.
We start with the faces, because that's where the likeness lives. Then the bodies, the hair and the clothes.
Got a date in mind, like a baby's first birthday or an anniversary? Mention it in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once the dolls are finished, delivery usually takes 7-20 business days, depending on your country.
The post gets slow around the holidays. For a Christmas gift, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished dolls. Hold them up next to your picture and check the faces and the clothes. If something should change, tell us.
We've been sewing toys and dolls to order since 2009. On a family set, small things decide whether people recognize themselves: the shape of the glasses, the part in the hair, the line of a smile.
That's why you see photos before the dolls are packed, while there's still time to fix a detail.
If they arrive and you don't love them, you get a full refund within 14 days.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
