This one is ready for bed and not pretending otherwise. Our sleepy dog plush wears a pale blue nightcap with a floppy tip, keeps its eyes shut under a row of stitched lashes, and sits with its long legs stretched out like it gave up halfway to the pillow.
It isn't a shop toy. We sew every toy to order, for one person and the idea they bring us. This dog is our own design, so yours can follow it closely or drift wherever you like.
What it looks like
The head is cream white and round, with a big black nose and two long black ears with white edges. The body is sky blue, so the whole dog looks like it's already in pajamas. The paws and the big round feet are white.
A black scarf is tied at the neck, with knots on the hanging end. On the chest there's a small fabric label with a word written by hand. A label like that can carry a name, a date, or a word that only means something to you and the person getting the toy.
Why a sleepy face works
Some people still remember a bedtime toy they named Sleepy. Closed eyes make a toy feel calm. It doesn't stare at you from the shelf at night. It just sleeps with you. Not many toy makers do sleepy eyes, and with a handmade dog you can pick exactly how drowsy the face looks.
Make it yours
Change the cap and body color, swap the scarf for a striped one, or write your own word on the label. Give it your dog's ear shape and coloring, open the eyes, make it big enough to hug at night. Send a sketch, a photo or a few lines of text. Before it ships, you get photos of the finished toy to check.
The dog has company on the site. The Sleepy Kittens and the Sleepy Bear share its closed-eye face, and the Blue Dog is another soft blue pup we sewed by hand.
The dog is sewn from soft short-pile plush, the smooth kind that feels nice against your cheek when you fall asleep holding it.

Want a sound module, a poseable wire in the ears or an embroidered name? Tell us at the start. Extras go in while we sew.
A sleepy dog like this one usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
First comes the pattern: a round head on a slim body with long limbs needs the right balance so the dog sits up and doesn't tip forward. Then we cut, sew, stuff and add the cap and scarf. The face is embroidered last. The closed eyes are two curved lines, and a millimeter decides whether it looks sleepy or sad.
The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need the toy by a certain date, say so in your first message.
Once the dog is finished, shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post gets slower, so allow a few extra days.
A toy in a nightcap makes a good birthday present or a bedtime gift for a friend who never gets enough sleep. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, we send you photos of the finished dog. Check the face, the colors and the label, and tell us if something should change. It goes in the box only after you say yes.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009. Many were characters that existed only as a sketch or a few words from the customer, so a new dog design is normal work for us.
You see the finished toy in photos before it ships, while there's still time to adjust a lash, the cap or the lettering on the label.
If it arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
