This blue stuffed dog was sewn from a photo. Look under him in the lying-down shot and you'll see it: a printed picture of a pale blue puppy on a wooden floor, the toy he was copied from. We made this one to order from that print. Nothing here sits on a shelf waiting for a buyer. Every toy we sew starts with a photo, a drawing or a toy someone sends us.
What one photo has to tell us
A single picture shows one side of a toy, from one angle, in somebody's living-room light. The rest we work out. How long are the ears compared to the head? Where do the eyes sit on the muzzle? Is the nose stitched flat or does it stick out?
For this puppy the answers were long, soft ears that fall past the cheeks, two small shiny black eyes set close to the top of the muzzle, and a big round brown nose that pokes forward. The body is narrow, and the arms and legs are long and loose, so he flops over the edge of whatever you sit him on.
Why people ask for a copy
Some people want a second one so the original can retire to a shelf. Some only have a photo left. People type "blue dog stuffed animal old" into Google because they remember one particular puppy and can't find it in any store.
We can't promise the exact factory fabric, but we can match the color, the shape and the face closely enough that it feels like the same dog.

Any picture works as a start: a snapshot, a scan, a print like this one. More angles help. Tell us roughly how big the toy was, or say "same size as the original". You see photos of the finished toy before it ships.

The puppy is sewn from short, soft faux fur in pale sky blue, the same color all over, just like the dog in the customer's photo. The pile turns a shade lighter or darker depending on how it lies, so the ears and muzzle catch the light a bit differently from the body.

For your copy we match the fur color to your photo as closely as we can. If the original had a sound inside, a ribbon or an embroidered name, tell us at the start.
A copy like this usually takes 2-4 weeks. That includes a small reserve for handwork surprises.
The first days go into the pattern. We size the head, ears and legs from your photo and test the proportions before any fur is cut.
Then the face. Eyes and nose decide whether it reads as "my dog" or just "a blue dog", so we place them, compare them with the photo, and move them until it looks right.
If it's a gift for a date, put that date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your puppy leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier.
