Half frog, half lizard, and completely unbothered. This custom frog plush sits with its long arms folded over its knees, eyes half shut, a dark purple scarf around a very long white neck. Behind it, a lizard's tail climbs up and curls over at the tip like a question mark.
We didn't make it for a shelf. Every toy here is sewn to order for one person and the character they have in mind. Nothing is pre-made.
The details that make the face
Plush makers say frog eyes are the first thing to go wrong. Too flat and the frog looks like a cushion. Too round and it looks surprised. Here the eyes sit high on the head, big and bulging, with blue irises and heavy green lids pulled halfway down. That one lid line gives the whole toy its mood: sleepy, a bit skeptical, quietly pleased with itself.
Under the eyes there's a wide tan mouth that sticks out like a lip. The neck and belly are one long white stripe. The arms and legs are thin and lanky, with long fingers and spread frog toes, so the toy can sit, lean or drape its hands over its knees.
A matchbox by its feet in the photos gives you a sense of scale.
Your frog, your rules
Want a frog with a tail, a lizard with frog eyes, or something nobody has named yet? Send a sketch, a photo or a description. We can change the colors, the eyes, the scarf, the length of the limbs, the size. Before it ships, you get photos of the finished toy to check.
More frogs on the site: Pepe the Frog came out of the same workshop, there's a Blue Frog sewn from a drawing, and the Garden Wall Frog from the cartoon. Other one-of-a-kind creatures live in OC Plush.
The body is bright lime-green short-pile plush, soft and a little fuzzy, so the long arms and the tail feel nice to hold. The neck and belly are a separate white plush panel running from chin to tummy.
- Big bulging eyes: white plush with blue irises and black pupils, under dark green lids
- Wide tan plush mouth, sewn as a separate piece so it stands out from the face
- Dark purple fleece scarf, tied around the neck
- Long thin fingers and frog toes
- Hypoallergenic filling
The tail can hold a poseable wire, if you want to bend it into a different curl. Sound modules and LED eyes are possible too. Mention them at the start.
A toy like this usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
The pattern comes first, and on this one it's fiddly: thin limbs, separate fingers and a tail that has to stand up on its own. Then we cut, sew and stuff. The eyes and lids go on last, because a few millimeters decide whether your frog looks sleepy or annoyed.
The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need it by a certain date, say so in your first message.
Once it's done, shipping usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post slows down, so allow a few extra days.
A weird, lovable frog makes a good birthday gift for someone who already has every normal plush. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, we send you photos of the finished toy. Check the eyes, the scarf and the tail curl, and tell us if something should change. It goes in the box after you say yes.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009. A lot of them were creatures that existed only in a drawing or in someone's head, so a frog with a lizard's tail is familiar ground.
You see the toy in photos before it ships, while there's still time to fix a lid line or the color of the scarf.
If it arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
