This is Zhiriska, a round beige rat with pink paws and a long tail. She's a custom rat plush, sewn by hand to order from photos of one owner's much-loved pet. Her Russian name, Kryska Zhiriska, rhymes and means something like "little chubby rat". Look at the real girl in the last photo and you'll see why.
We don't keep ready toys on a shelf. You send photos of your rat, and we sew that one rat.
"What if your pet is a rat?"
That's the question we asked when we first posted her on our Russian site. Plenty of people want their pet turned into a toy. Rat owners often assume nobody will take theirs. Our answer was short: no problem, call us. From a cat to a dinosaur, we'll take on any whim.
Sewn to look like the real rat
Zhiriska is made in a realistic style, so she looks like an animal and not a cartoon. We worked from the owner's photos and copied her, detail by detail:
- Shape: a heavy, pear-shaped body that sits back on its haunches, just like her plump original
- Coat: soft beige faux fur, a shade lighter on the belly, with long white whiskers
- Face: a pink nose, shiny black eyes and thin pink ears
- Paws: pink hands and feet with tiny separate fingers, so she can hold a paw up to her face
- Tail: long, thin and pink-beige
In the photos she washes her face, peeks up from above and sits in a little wicker basket on a flowered cloth.
Your rat next
Dumbo, rex, hooded, hairless, any colour or markings: send a few clear photos of your rat from the front, both sides and the back, and pick a size in the order form. You'll see photos of the finished plush before it ships.
More pets live in Pet Stuffed Animals. For a bigger, shaggier rodent, look at our realistic mouse plush, and for wildlife, the Realistic Stuffed Animals.
Zhiriska is cut and sewn from scratch, from a pattern made for this one rat.
- Short-pile beige faux fur, toned to match the real coat
- Pink fabric for the ears, nose, paws and tail
- Hands and feet with sculpted separate fingers
- Shiny black bead eyes and long whiskers
The filling is premium and hypoallergenic. She's stuffed firm in the body, so she sits up on her own.
Want wire in the limbs or tail so you can pose them, or a different coat from a photo of your rat? Ask in your first message, because these go in while we sew.
A custom rat plush usually takes 2–4 weeks. Extras like posable limbs can add a few days, and we'll give you the date when we quote.
Most of the time goes into the face and the paws. A rat's nose, eyes and ears have to sit just right, or she turns into a hamster.
The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the plush is a gift for a date, tell us at the start.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays parcels move slower, so give yourself extra time.
Pet rats don't live long, and many owners order a plush copy to keep the little one close. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished toy. We pack the tail so it arrives straight.
We've been sewing custom toys since 2009, and rat owners know every whisker of their pet. They spot a wrong ear or a too-thin tail at once.
So you approve photos before we ship. If you don't love the plush, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Have a whole mischief of rats? We can sew them as a set, in matching size and style. The price is per rat.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
