She looks like she trotted out of the woods, hopped onto a garden bench and decided to stay a while. This realistic red fox plush was sewn by hand at our studio. We don't keep foxes on a shelf. Every animal we make is made to order, for one person and the fox they have in mind.
A fox with a look
Her coat is ginger faux fur with darker streaks running through it, the way a wild fox's fur is never one flat colour. The cheeks, chin and chest are white. The legs go dark, almost black, down to the paws. Her ears are tall and pointed, black on the back and pale inside.
The face is where she comes alive. Amber eyes under a slightly lowered brow, long dark whiskers, a glossy black nose. Her mouth is a little open, with a row of small teeth showing. Sly, but friendly about it.
That tail
We're proudest of the tail. It's big, soft and very fluffy, and when she sits it curls around her side and spills off the bench. That's true to life: a red fox's tail is longer than half its body and reaches the ground when the fox stands. Make it short and the whole animal looks wrong.
Your own fox
People who love foxes often say the same thing: they want a realistic one, not a cartoon, with fur that still feels soft. Maybe you saw a fox at the edge of a field and can't forget her. Maybe you have photos from a zoo or a hike. Send them, or just describe the fox you want.
- Photos or a description of your fox
- Size and pose: sitting, lying, curled up
- Extras if you like, such as poseable legs on a wire frame
A custom realistic fox like this starts from $365, and the quote is free. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. For a smaller fox shaped from wool, look at our needle felted fox. More lifelike animals live in Realistic Stuffed Animals.
The coat is faux fur in ginger with darker streaks, long and dense on the body and the tail. White faux fur makes the cheeks and the chest. The legs and paws are dark, and the ears are dark on the back with pale fur inside.
Her eyes are amber, the nose is glossy black, and long dark whiskers come out of the muzzle. The open mouth shows a row of small teeth.
All our materials are premium and hypoallergenic. We never use natural fur, only faux. For your fox we match the fur colours to your photos.
- On request: poseable legs and neck on a wire frame
- Also possible: a sound module or LED lights
A realistic fox usually takes 2-4 weeks. The estimate keeps a little spare time, because handwork doesn't always go to plan.
The pattern is drawn for your fox alone. The fur is cut and set so it lies the way a real coat grows, and the face takes the longest: the eyes, the brow, the mouth. A fox with the wrong expression stops being a fox.
You get photos of the finished toy before it ships. Need her by a certain date? Tell us in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Once your fox leaves the studio, delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, depending on your country, the carrier and customs.
Around the holidays, and before Christmas most of all, the post slows down. If she's a birthday present for a fox lover, give yourself a few spare days. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Tell us your date when you first write. We'll say right away if it works, counting the making and the shipping together.
We've been making toys to order since 2009. Realistic animals are the hardest kind, because everyone knows what a fox looks like and spots a wrong ear at once.
So before your fox is packed, you see photos of her and can ask for changes. And if she arrives and you don't love her, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Same promise on every toy we sew.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
