A Plush Replica of Your Own Dog
Sewn by hand in our studio from the photos of your dog
A dog replica is a plush copy of your own dog, sewn by hand from the photos you send. Same coat, same markings, same odd ear, as close as fabric and thread allow. Each one is made to order for one owner. Nothing here is waiting on a shelf.
- Price: from $450. The quote is free.
- Time: usually 2–4 weeks to sew, then 7–20 business days of delivery.
- Photos before it ships: you check the finished toy against your dog. If something is off, we fix it first.
- Full refund: if it arrives and you don’t love it, tell us within 14 days.
What photos to send
- The face from the front, then both sides and the back
- Close-ups of the markings, the eye colour and the little things: a freckled muzzle, a white tip on the tail, one ear that never stands up
- The size you’d like, and your date if there is one
Phone photos are fine. Old photos are fine too, if the dog is no longer with you.
How close does it get?
We copy the dog you have, not a breed standard. The blue merle corgi below has one blue eye and one brown, because the real dog does. The Jack Russell has the same freckles on its muzzle as the dog in the photos.
It is a plush, so it will never be an exact copy. If you’d rather have a cartoon-style dog, simpler and cuter with big eyes, we sew that from your photos too. Send the cartoon sketch you have in mind, or let our artist draw one first as a plush-ready drawing. Only faux fur, never real fur.
Nobody knows that face better than you. So before the toy ships, you see photos of it and tell us what to change.

Dogs We've Sewn From Their Owners' Photos
Wrinkles, curls and odd eyes

The Shar Pei is mostly wrinkles, and a toy that gets the folds wrong just looks like a creased dog.
On this one they pile up over the forehead, run down the cheeks and gather under the chin, the way they do on the real dog. A short fawn coat, small folded ears, the tip of a pink tongue, and dark claws stitched on each toe.

The blue merle corgi sits on a palm. That size was the owner’s pick. Its back is marbled black and grey, with tan spots over the eyes and big upright ears lined in pink. The detail people notice last is the one the owner noticed first: one ice-blue eye and one brown, just like the dog.

The maltipoo is small, curly and mostly fluff, which is exactly why it’s hard to sew.
Apricot-ginger curls on the head, back and legs, a cream-white chest, ears that vanish into the coat. It has a poseable body, so it sits up straight on a chair or lies on its back in the grass like the puppy it was copied from.
Sewn as a present

The Jack Russell was ordered as a birthday present for a friend, and it worked: she was genuinely surprised. White coat, black head with tan cheeks and eyebrows, a narrow white blaze, and little brown freckles on the muzzle, each one from the photos.
In one picture the toy sits next to Murka, a real white kitten, which is the easiest way to see the size.

Lucky was made for a client who wanted a plush replica of his own dog: black coat, white chest, white paws, one ear up and one folded. It became a present and a keepsake full of memories.
The coat is the likeness

A Peke is mostly hair, so the piebald Pekingese was all about the coat: a fluffy white head and body, long black silky ears that hang past the chin, black patches around the eyes, a flat face with a black button nose, and a white plume of a tail with a black patch where it starts.

The black-and-tan dog was sewn from a single photo: black shading into tan on the cheeks and legs, grey tips in the long ear fringes, a white chest and white socks. The colouring is complicated, so our makers matched it one colour change at a time.
It’s poseable too, so it stands on a bench or stretches out on a rug.

The whippet is the opposite problem: short, smooth black plush that shows the narrow head, the deep chest and the long legs, because fluffy fabric would hide them. A grey chest patch, pale blue eyes, pink inner ears, and legs that bend so it lies down with its paws stretched out.
The Spitz is the fluffy one: ginger faux fur, a white chest ruff and a felted grey muzzle.
In memory of a dog

The cream Pekingese was made at the owner’s request in memory of a dog who passed away, with handmade eyes and nose and a felted muzzle. A memorial toy has no deadline. Send the photos you have, even old ones, and we work from those.
If you’d rather hang it on the wall, we also needle-felt 3D portraits of dogs leaning out of a wooden frame. More on the memorial pets page.
What you can choose
- Any size, from a corgi on your palm to a life-size dog.
- The pose: sitting, lying down, or a poseable body you can change.
- The coat, matched to your photos: short, long, curly, brindle, merle. Faux fur only.
- Extras on request: a collar or a harness, a name tag, a sound module, LED eyes. Extras change the price and the time.
Why people trust us with their dog
We’ve made toys to order since 2009, each one by hand. A dog replica lives or dies on the likeness, so we check it against your photos and then you do.
You see photos of the finished toy before it ships. If it isn’t your dog when you open the box, you have 14 days to tell us, for any reason. You get a full refund and keep the plush. The details are on our guarantee page.
Questions about dog replicas
Yes. Send a few clear photos of your dog: the face, both sides, the back and close-ups of the markings and eyes. We sew one plush by hand from them, made to order for you, from $450. Making usually takes 2–4 weeks.
Close enough that you recognise your own dog at a glance: the coat colours, the markings, the eye colour, the way the ears sit. It’s a plush, not a photograph, so it will never be an exact copy. You see photos of the finished toy before it ships and tell us what to change.
Sharp, daylight photos with the whole dog in the frame: one from the front, one from each side, one from behind. Then close-ups of anything that makes your dog yours: a patch over one eye, a crooked ear, freckles on the muzzle, a white tip on the tail. Phone photos are fine. If your dog has passed away, send what you have and we’ll work from that.
Yes. On this page alone there is a Shar Pei, a blue merle corgi, a maltipoo, a Jack Russell, two Pekingese, a Spitz and a whippet. A mixed breed or a scruffy rescue works just the same, because we copy the dog in your photos, not a breed standard. Every coat is faux fur, matched to your dog: short and smooth, long and silky, or curly.
Any size you like, from a corgi that sits on your palm to a life-size dog. The size is your pick and it changes the price. If you want the toy to sit, stand or lie on its back, we can build in a poseable body, as we did for the maltipoo and the black-and-tan dog on this page. The whippet has legs that bend.
Yes, and some of the dogs on this page were made for exactly that. Our cream Pekingese was sewn in memory of a dog who passed away. There is no deadline on a memorial order. Take the time you need to pick the photos, even old ones, and we’ll work from those. A needle-felted wall portrait of your dog is another option.
Yes. A police, army or service dog is copied the same way as any pet, from the handler’s photos. A collar, a harness or a vest can be added on request. Extras change the price and the time, and the quote is free.
From $450. Size, coat length and extras like a poseable body or a harness move the price, and the quote is free. Making usually takes 2–4 weeks. We ship worldwide, and delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, longer around the holidays. If it’s a gift for a date, tell us up front.
You approve photos of the finished toy before it ships, and we fix what looks off. After it arrives, you have 14 days to tell us, for any reason. You get a full refund and keep the plush.

Custom toys start from $350.
A bigger size or extra details can cost more.
Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
