Spiky yellow hair, arms crossed, a look that says "what now?" This little guy is a needle felted anime doll, made to order for one customer and no one else. We don't sell ready dolls. Each one starts from a picture or an idea someone sends us.
We have to be honest about him: we don't know his name. The order notes didn't survive, and what's left in our archive is three phone photos from November 2019. So we won't guess which show or comic he's from. If you recognize him, we'd love to hear it.
What makes him work
The face does most of the job. Heavy black brows pulled down, half-closed eyes, a tiny flat mouth. It's a classic anime sulk, and the fine black lines keep it as sharp as a drawing. The hair is a big crown of lemon-yellow felted wool that sticks up in points, with strands drawn over the forehead.
The outfit is ordinary on purpose: a black short-sleeved shirt worn open over a green top, long blue trousers with pocket lines, and black-and-white sneakers. The arms are felted crossed over the chest, so the pose is part of the doll, not something you set. He's slim and small enough to hold in one hand, and he stands up on his own.
Your character, felted
Got an anime boy (or girl) you love, from a series or from your own sketchbook? Send us a screenshot, a fan drawing or your own art, and tell us which details matter: the hair, the expression, a favorite pose. Felt is great for hair that defies gravity. Before shipping, you get photos of the finished doll to approve.
More dolls like this are in anime plushies and character dolls. For a doll of a real person drawn in anime style, look at the Boy in Glasses.
This doll is felted from wool from head to sneakers. Needle felting means pressing loose wool into shape with a barbed needle, layer by layer, until it holds firm. It suits a small character doll because every part can be sculpted:
- Felted wool hair that keeps its spikes without glue or wire.
- A felted face with fine black line work for the brows, eyes and mouth.
- Felted clothes in solid colors: black shirt, green top, blue trousers, two-tone sneakers.
Your doll doesn't have to be felted. We can sew a soft plush version to hug, add faux fur, or put wire inside so the arms pose. Tell us if the doll will sit on a shelf or travel in a bag, and we'll suggest what fits.
A felted anime doll like this one usually takes 2–4 weeks.
Most of that time goes into the head. We felt the face first and get the expression right, because one line too high and a sulk turns into surprise. Then come the hair, the clothes and the shoes.
If your reference only shows the front, we'll ask how the back of the hair should look. The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. Need it for a date? Put it in your first message.
Once your doll is done, shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post gets slower, so leave a few extra days.
Planning it as a Christmas gift? Order by November 1.
A small felted doll travels well. Before it goes out, you get photos of it from several sides to compare with your art. It ships only after you say yes, so look closely at the face.
We've been making toys to order since 2009, and anime characters come up a lot. Fans know every strand of hair and every frown line, so we treat the details the same way.
You see photos before shipping, while the hair or a color can still change.
And if the doll arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason, even "he just doesn't look like him."

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
