One toy can hold a whole childhood: the smell of home, a mother's voice, a cozy afternoon at grandma's. This lost stuffed bunny was that toy for one little girl. Years later her parent sent us the family photos and asked us to sew it again.
We don't keep a shelf of ready bunnies. Every toy we make is made to order, for one person, from the photos and memories they send.
What the photos showed
In the pictures the girl is hugging a soft gray bunny with fluffy paws and a red-and-white bow. It was with her for all the big moments. Then, the way these things go, it got lost somewhere along the way. Getting it back turned out to mean getting back a small piece of herself.
Old snapshots never show everything. Half the toy is squeezed in a child's arms and the colors have faded. So we studied every frame and rebuilt what the camera missed:
- A gray body with white paws and big white feet
- A white muzzle, a pink nose and long white fluff on the cheeks
- Tall gray ears lined in pale gray
- Dark eyes with lashes and a pink-and-red bow under the chin
We matched the proportions, the colors, the texture of the fur and even the expression on that little face. It isn't just a copy. It's a memory you can hold again.
When you can't find one that looks like yours
People search for years for a bunny that looks like the one they lost. Most never find it. We skip the hunt and sew it from your photos.
Send whatever pictures you have, even one, and tell us roughly how big the toy was. Before we ship, you get photos of the finished bunny to approve. Real toys live in the heart. Tell us your story, and we'll send you back a little piece of your childhood.
More toys sewn from family photos are in Lost Toy Replicas, like the childhood puppy with a red bow tie. Here's how we turn a photo into a plush.
The bunny is sewn from premium soft faux fur in gray and white. Gray covers the body, the arms and the backs of the ears. Short white fur goes on the muzzle, the paws and the big round feet, and a longer, fluffier white pile frames the cheeks, the part of the face everyone remembers.
- Pale gray lining inside the tall ears
- Dark eyes with lashes and a small pink nose
- A pink-and-red bow tied under the chin
- Hypoallergenic filling, soft enough for a long hug
Want your replica closer to your own photos? We can change the fur shades, embroider a name or a date, or sew in a sound module. Tell us at the start, since these go in while we sew.
A replica like this usually takes 2–4 weeks.
The first days go into reading the photos. We work out how big the head is next to the body, how long the ears are, where the eyes sit and how far the cheek fluff sticks out. Then we draw the pattern, cut the fur and sew everything by hand.
The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the bunny is meant for a birthday or another big day, put the date in your first message.
Shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post slows down, so leave a few extra days.
A lot of these bunnies end up as surprises: a parent giving a grown daughter her childhood toy back, or a friend tracking down a lost favorite. For delivery before Christmas, order by November 1.
Before the bunny leaves us, we send you photos of the finished toy. Put them next to the old family pictures and tell us if anything should change.
We've been sewing toys to order since 2009, and lost childhood toys are some of the most personal orders we get.
You see the finished bunny in photos before it ships, so there's time to fix a detail you remember differently: a longer ear, a paler lining, a brighter bow.
And if it arrives and doesn't feel right to you, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason. No need to explain.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
