A customer sent us a picture of a panda. Not a real one. A cartoon, with a big round head, blue eyes popping out of black patches, a huge black nose and a grin with two front teeth. We turned it into this custom panda plush, sewn by hand and made to order from that one drawing.
That was in 2011, and we still work the same way. There's no shelf of ready pandas here. You send a drawing, a sketch or a screenshot, and we sew that exact character.
From a flat picture to a panda you can hug
A drawing shows one side. A toy needs all of them. So we worked out what the picture left out: the curve of the back of the head, where the black patches run on the body, how chunky the legs should be. Then we drew a pattern for this panda alone.
The face took the longest. Those eyes had to keep the slightly startled stare from the drawing, or he'd just be another panda.
What made it into the toy
- Eyes: blue buttons on white fabric, framed by black eye patches
- Nose: big, round, glossy and black
- Smile: a small open mouth with two white buck teeth
- Ears: black outside, dark grey inside
- Paws: black claws on every paw, the front ones clasped together like he's waiting for a treat
- Coat: creamy white and black faux fur, plus one black spot on top of the head
The matchbox in the photo is there for scale. He sits up on his own.
Your panda next
Real giant pandas have a sort of sixth finger, a wrist bone that helps them hold bamboo. Yours can have one. Or a scarf and a backpack. Send your drawing, a kid's sketch or a character you made up, and pick a size in the order form. You'll see photos of the finished toy before it ships.

The filling is premium and hypoallergenic. The head is stuffed firm so the round cheeks and the nose keep their shape. The body is softer, so he still squishes when you hug him.
For your character we match the colours to your drawing. Want a sound module, LED eyes or poseable paws on a wire frame? Ask in your first message, because these go in while we sew.
A custom panda plush usually takes 2–4 weeks. Extras like a sound module or poseable paws can add a few days. You'll get the date with the quote.
With a drawing, much of that time goes into the pattern. If your picture shows only the front, send any other views you have, or just tell us how you picture the back and the sides.
The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the panda is a gift for a set date, tell us at the start.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays parcels move slower, so give yourself extra time.
If the panda is a gift, mind the calendar. For Christmas, order by November 1. For a birthday, count back the making time plus the shipping and you'll know when to send the picture.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished toy. We pack him so the nose, the ears and the claws arrive in shape.
