The ruler of Latveria, in teddy bear form. This Doctor Doom teddy bear was made to order for one customer, who sent us a single frame from The Super Hero Squad Show: a tiny Doom toy held in a giant blue hand. We turned that cartoon still into a real plush you can pick up.

Nothing here came off a shelf. Every Doom bear we sew starts from what the customer shows us, and this one started from a screenshot.

Doom, but huggable

Doctor Doom first showed up in Fantastic Four #5 in 1962, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Iron mask, green hood, a cloak and a very high opinion of himself. The Super Hero Squad Show (2009-2011, Marvel Animation) shrank the whole Marvel roster into chunky, big-headed cartoon versions, and Doom got the same treatment: still scheming, just a lot rounder.

So we kept the parts every fan checks first:

  • a silver-grey fabric mask with stitched plate lines, eye holes and that jagged mouth grille
  • a green hood and a full cloak that falls to the paws
  • an olive tunic with a black belt and a square buckle
  • a yellow cord with two toggle buttons at the collar

Under all that armor sits a soft brown faux fur bear with big glossy eyes. A villain who would very much like a hug.

Your own Doom plush, or any Marvel character

Fans joke that every child in Latveria gets a Doom plush to keep them safe at night. With Doom heading back to the big screen in Avengers: Doomsday, more people are looking for a Dr. Doom plush that isn't a keychain. Send us a screenshot, a comic panel or a photo of an old toy, and we'll sew it in the size and style you want: a classic teddy bear in costume like this one, a chibi Doom, or your own take. You can also see what we did with Lockheed, Magik's little dragon, or a teddy bear from Toy Story.

From $355. SKAZKODROM is an independent studio, not official Marvel merchandise.

The bear itself is brown faux fur with a soft, slightly shaggy pile, so it still feels like a teddy bear when you pick it up. Big glossy eyes give it that worried look from behind the mask.

The Doom costume is sewn as separate pieces:

  • Mask: silver-grey fabric, with every plate line and the mouth grille stitched in dark thread
  • Hood and cloak: olive-green woven fabric with a stitched hem
  • Tunic: olive knit, cinched with a black faux leather belt and a square buckle
  • Collar: a yellow cord with two toggle buttons

Want a shinier metal look, a darker green, a different size or a bigger cloak? Tell us. Premium, hypoallergenic materials, picked for each toy.

A costumed bear like this usually takes 2-4 weeks to make. The time goes into the details: drawing a pattern for the bear, then a second set of patterns for the mask, hood, cloak and tunic so they fit that exact bear.

The mask takes the longest. Each plate line is stitched by hand, and the eye holes have to sit right over the bear's eyes, or Doom just looks lost.

Before anything ships, we send you photos of the finished toy for approval.

Once you approve the photos, your Doom bear ships worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7-20 business days, depending on your country.

Around the winter holidays, post offices slow down, so add a few extra days. For a Christmas gift, place your order by November 1.

Planning it for a birthday, a movie night or a Marvel fan's shelf? Tell us the date when you order, and we'll say honestly whether it fits.

We've been sewing custom plush since 2009, and every toy goes out only after you've seen it in photos and said yes.

If the bear arrives and you don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.

A fan piece like this lives or dies on the small things: the line of the mask, the fall of the hood, the buckle. Those are exactly what we check with you before it leaves the studio.

Why?

No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.

Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.

Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.

You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.

One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.

That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
