This giant shark plush is about two metres long, roughly 6.5 feet of turquoise fleece and a grin full of teeth. We sewed it in 2012, made to order after the animated film SeeFood. Nothing like it sat on a shelf. It was cut and stitched for one order.
Our note from back then says it best: it's easy to picture yourself conquering the deep sea when a cute two-metre shark is lying next to you.
Julius from SeeFood
SeeFood is a 2011 animated film from the Malaysian studio Silver Ant. In the US it came out as Sea Level. Pup, a little bamboo shark, goes after his stolen brothers and sisters, and his best friend Julius, a big whitetip shark, swims off to bring Pup home.
Julius is the one we made. You can see the whitetip in the fabric: every fin and the tail end in a cream tip, the same cream as the belly and the snout.
Scary teeth, friendly face
Cartoon sharks have to be toothy and lovable at once, and that's a fine line in fabric. The mouth is a long pink-edged grin with a full row of white triangular teeth, each one a separate piece. Above it sit two big green eyes under heavy turquoise brows, so he looks a bit sly rather than mean. Two small black nostrils finish the snout.
At this size the shape matters as much as the face. The body is firm enough to keep its torpedo line, the dorsal fin stands up, and the pectoral fins spread out flat so he lies steady on a sofa or on the floor.
Your shark, your size
Want Julius, Pup or a shark of your own design? Send pictures and tell us how big. A two-metre giant like this one starts at $775, and smaller sizes are fine too. More sharks to compare: the Jaws 2 shark and Jeff the Land Shark, plus all our toys from animated films.
We're an independent studio, not official Silver Ant or SeeFood merchandise.
The shark is sewn from soft turquoise and cream fleece. Each colour is its own panel, so the cream belly, the snout and every fin tip are real seams, not paint.
- Teeth: white fabric triangles set in a row along the grin
- Gums: pink piping that outlines the whole mouth
- Eyes: domed green eyes with black pupils, under padded brows
- Fins: stuffed and stitched so they keep their shape
The filling is hypoallergenic and packed firmly, so a toy this long doesn't sag in the middle. On request we can add a sound module with a voice or a growl, or wire the tail so it holds a curve. Mention it in your first message, because these go in while we sew.
A giant plush like this shark usually takes 2–4 weeks, and a two-metre one sits at the longer end. We'll name the time in your quote.
First comes the pattern. A film shark is drawn for the screen, so we work out how the fins, jaw and belly join in 3D. Then cutting, sewing the teeth in one by one, and stuffing a body longer than most people are tall.
The time frame includes a reserve for handmade surprises. If you need him for a birthday or another date, tell us when you write.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays mail slows down, so add a few extra days.
For a birthday, count back from the day: making time plus shipping. For Christmas, order by November 1.
Before we pack, you get photos of the finished shark to approve. A toy this long travels in a big box, so expect a large parcel at the door.
We've been sewing toys from films and cartoons since 2009. A fan notices every wrong fin, so we follow the character closely and ask when a picture leaves a detail unclear.
You approve photos of the finished toy before it ships. If you still don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
A few screenshots from the film are enough to start. Your own shark drawing works just as well.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
