Who the bear is
Little Tiaras ran from 2018 to 2021. Five girls based on heroines of Russian fairy tales go to a school of magic, and their teacher is Koschei the Deathless. Sonya is the sleepy one, and her teddy bear is never far away. He turns up in almost every episode.
In one of them he even comes alive by accident and saves Sonya from Koschei's own favourite toy, the Naughty Clown.
From a screenshot to a hug
On screen the bear is a small reddish-brown figure in the corner of the frame. As a toy he needed more. We chose dark chocolate faux fur and a light tan for the muzzle, the belly patch, the insides of the ears and the paw pads. The purple bow at the neck stayed, since that's how everyone recognizes him.
The face took the most care. Round orange eyes with white rims and two dark eyebrows give him the same slightly worried look he has in the show. In our photos he stands, and he sits with his legs stretched out just as easily.

The body is soft faux fur in dark chocolate brown with a short, dense pile, so the bear looks smooth in photos and still feels fluffy in the hand. We use only faux fur, never real fur.
A lighter tan faux fur covers the muzzle, the big oval belly patch, the inner ears and the round pads on the paws. Little tan claws on the feet finish the cartoon look.

First we work out a pattern from the screenshots, since a cartoon gives only a few angles. Then comes the sewing and stuffing. The face goes last and takes the longest: the eyes and eyebrows set the whole expression, and a few millimetres turn a worried bear into a grumpy one.
