These two Trove character dolls are one player's character in two different outfits. We sewed them to order for that one gamer, from the fan art they sent us. Nothing here comes off a shelf: you bring the character, we make the doll.
No store sells this character. The gamer made it.
From a modded model to a doll
Trove is the voxel sandbox MMO from Trion Worlds, out on PC in 2015 and later on PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. Its players have long built their own costumes as mods, and the game lets them swap a class's look for one they made.
Our customer did exactly that. One of their two character models was their own idea from scratch. The other started from an official model. Then an artist drew the same character for them at two different times, in two different costumes. They liked both looks so much that they wanted to hold them, so they asked us for plush versions.
OC fans know the feeling. When the character is yours, every piece of merch has to be commissioned, and seeing her in real life is the whole point.
What we sewed
- Big beige heads with sharp red-pink eyes and the same sly little smile
- Black doll hair: loose and spiky on one, two buns with pink spikes on the other
- Black-and-pink suits with felt armor plates, a pink gem on the chest and thin pink cords along the sleeves
- A blue armor piece and holster, painted with acrylics, and brown belts
- Pink felt on the boots of both
See the monitor behind them in our photos? That's a turnaround sheet of both looks, front, side and back. The dolls were finished in 2023.
Your character next
Send your screenshots, your mod renders or your drawings. One doll or a set of outfits, any size. The price is per doll: from $415 each, so the pair in the photos is two dolls. We can also add wire in the arms for posing, LED details or a sound module. You see photos of the finished dolls before they ship. More player creations are in OC plush, and more game heroes in video game plushies and character dolls.
We're an independent studio. These are handmade fan pieces, not an official Trion Worlds or Gamigo product.
Each Trove doll is built from premium materials, and most of the detail is cut by hand:
- Felt for the armor plates, the pink spikes and the boot details, so the edges stay crisp
- Fleece and cotton, soft and easy to hold
- Synthetic doll hair for the spiky style and the two buns
- Small fittings
- Acrylic paint for the blue armor piece
Want a different color scheme, another costume or a third version of your character? Tell us at the start. Wire for posing, LED lights or a sound module go in while we sew, so we plan them with the pattern.
A custom character doll like these usually takes 3–4 weeks.
First comes the pattern from your art. The head, the armor and the hair have to stay in proportion, or the character stops looking like herself. Then the suit, layer by layer, and the painted parts.
The face goes last. The eyes and the smirk are what make her yours. The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you order two outfits at once, or have a date in mind, say so in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country and the carrier. Around the holidays couriers slow down, so allow extra time.
Planning the dolls as a gift for a gamer, say for a birthday or a guild anniversary? Add the making time and delivery together and count back from the date. For Christmas, order by November 1.
We send you photos of the finished dolls before they leave. Then we pack them so the hair and the armor arrive in shape.
We've been sewing custom toys and dolls since 2009. A lot of our work is characters that exist only in someone's game, sketchbook or head, like this one.
You know your character better than anyone, so you see photos of your doll before it ships. If you still don't love it, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason.
Not sure which outfit to start with, or how big the doll should be? Ask before we begin. A detail is far easier to get right in the pattern than to change later.

Why?
No ready-made pattern. Your photo or drawing doesn’t come with one. Our artist builds the pattern from scratch and turns a flat picture into a 3D toy. It’s the hardest and slowest part.
Materials picked for your toy. The right color, fur length and texture. Sometimes we order fabric just for one project.
Sewn by hand. Every piece is cut, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand. The face takes the most time: move an eye a millimeter and the character changes.
You approve it first. When your toy is ready, we send you photos. Something looks off? We fix it before shipping.
One toy, not a thousand. A factory spreads design costs over thousands of copies. Here, all that work goes into one toy: yours.
That’s why prices start at $350. And on a personal order, if you don’t love your toy, you get a full refund.
