Why a stork brings the baby
The story of the stork bringing babies comes from northern European folklore. Storks fly back in spring, nest on roofs and chimneys right next to people, and somewhere along the way they got the job of delivering newborns. Hans Christian Andersen's tale "The Storks" helped fix the picture we all know: a stork with a white bundle in its beak.
How we built him
The body and the long neck are white faux fur. The wings end in black feather tips. The beak is long and yellow, with a red-orange patch at the base, and the eyes sit under heavy sculpted lids that give him that tired, funny look. The legs are long and thin, with wide webbed feet so he stands on his own. The bundle is plain white cotton, knotted at the top.

A stork plush usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
First we agree on the look: cartoon or realistic, the size, the color of the bundle and any embroidery. Then we make the pattern and sew the body and neck, the wings with their black tips, the beak, the eyes and lids, and last the long legs and feet, so the stork stands steady.
The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the stork is for a baby shower or a due date, mention the date in your first message.
When your stork is ready, shipping usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post gets slower, so allow a few extra days then.
Babies don't always keep to the schedule, so for a baby shower it's smart to order early. For a Christmas present, order by November 1.
Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished stork. Check the colors, the bundle and any lettering, and tell us if something should change. The stork leaves the studio after you say yes.
