Gadget Hackwrench, the mouse with the wrench
In Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Gadget is the one who builds the plane. She's the Rangers' pilot and mechanic, a blonde mouse in lavender coveralls with her goggles pushed up on her forehead, turning a pile of junk into something that flies while everyone else argues about the case. Disney even named a roller coaster after her at Disneyland back in 1993. Ask around and you'll find grown-ups who say she's the reason they ended up fixing engines for a living.
That's why a Gadget Hackwrench plush lands so well as a gift for the tinkerer, the pilot, the fixer, or the friend who is quietly rewatching the whole show with their kids. Her wrench comes as a soft plush too, taller than she is.
Which Gadget do you remember?
Look at the photos and you'll see two different dolls. One is blonde, goggles on her head, leaning on that big grey wrench. The other is taller with orange hair, standing next to Zipper in his little red sweater. People picture her differently: hair color, height, goggles up or down over her eyes.
Which is the point. Every toy here is sewn to order for one person, from the picture they send us — nothing sits on a shelf waiting for a buyer. Official Gadget merchandise has always been thin. The plush dolls and figures we've come across are small, decades old, or sold only in Japan, so collectors end up hunting resale sites. Ours is a handmade fan piece from an independent studio, not official or licensed Disney merchandise. What she's made of
Gadget is sewn from premium plush fabric over hypoallergenic stuffing, so she holds her shape on a shelf and still gives when you squeeze her. The body is a soft short-pile fabric in mouse cream-pink, her ears are lined in pink, and her tail keeps a light curve instead of flopping.
Her hair is faux fur, brushed and trimmed by hand: blonde like the cartoon, or the orange-red you see on the second doll. Goggles, belt and cuffs are cut from firmer fabric so they hold an edge, and the grey wrench is a separate plush piece with its own stuffing. Two photos show her before the jumpsuit and goggles go on.
Everything is safe, eco-friendly material. Ask for a different shade, texture or a softer fur and we'll match it before we cut anything.
Usually 2–4 weeks
A Gadget doll usually takes 2–4 weeks once the order is confirmed. That time goes into drafting her pattern, sewing and stuffing the body, setting the face, and making all the small parts: goggles, belt, cuffs, tail, wrench.
The face is the slow bit. Her eyes and that one front tooth are what make people say "that's Gadget" instead of "that's a mouse", so they get reworked until they read right. Before anything ships, you get photos of the finished doll to approve.
Ordering Zipper or another Ranger alongside her? Mention it when you ask for a price — more characters, more time.
Shipping
We ship worldwide. Delivery takes up to 20 business days, and sometimes arrives within 7. It depends on your country, the carrier and the time of year — around the holidays couriers slow down, so leave a buffer.
Planning her as a birthday or Christmas present? Count backwards: usually 2–4 weeks of sewing plus up to 20 business days in transit, and order with a few weeks to spare. The wrench travels in the same parcel as the doll.
If you need her by a set date, say so when you ask for a price and we'll tell you honestly whether it's doable.
Full refund if she isn't right
We've been sewing custom toys since 2009. A character like Gadget is the sort of complex piece that takes those years of practice: a face people recognize on sight, a costume, and a prop, all in soft fabric.
You see photos of the finished doll before she leaves the studio. If she still isn't what you had in mind when she arrives, you get a full refund within 14 days, for any reason — including "I just don't love her". No arguing your case.
