This is our Sandy plush doll, the Sandman from Rise of the Guardians: shiny gold robes, spiky ginger hair and that calm little smile. We don't have a shelf of ready Sandys. Each one is made to order for the person who asks for it, from the pictures they send.
The Guardian who never says a word
Rise of the Guardians came out in 2012. It's a DreamWorks Animation film directed by Peter Ramsey, based on William Joyce's The Guardians of Childhood books. Sandy is the Guardian of Dreams and the oldest of the group, next to North (Santa), Bunnymund, Tooth and Jack Frost.
He doesn't speak once in the whole film. He "talks" with little pictures of golden sand that pop up over his head, and at night he sends streams of dream sand to sleeping kids. Pitch Black uses black sand for nightmares. Sandy's is gold.
Ask fans about him and you hear two things. They cried when Pitch's Nightmares took him down, and they cheered when he came back. Plenty of them were kids in 2012 and still keep him on their list of favorites.

The story happens around Easter, but with North's workshop and his sleigh, lots of people watch it every December. Sandy fits a bedroom shelf, a nightstand or a Christmas tree corner. Sandy is made from safe, eco-friendly materials. Most of his look comes from one fabric: a shiny gold that catches the light and looks warm under a lamp, close to the glow of his dream sand in the film.
His robe is sewn in real layers: a wrapped front, a sash across the chest, a stand-up collar and full sleeves gathered at the wrists. The folds you see in the photos are stitched in.

Want a lighter gold, a different size or a soft glow? Ask. LED lights, a sound module or limbs that hold a pose can be added on request. We only use faux fur.
A doll like Sandy usually takes 2–4 weeks to make.
The robe takes a good part of that. A slippery gold fabric has to be cut and wrapped so the folds fall the same way they do on screen. Then the face. The painted eyes and brows set his whole mood, so we don't rush them. The hair goes on last.
The time frame includes a small reserve for handmade surprises. If you need him by a birthday or the holidays, put the date in your first message.
We ship worldwide. Delivery usually takes 7–20 business days, depending on where you live and the carrier. Sometimes it's closer to 7.
Around the holidays couriers get busy and parcels slow down. If Sandy is a Christmas gift, order by November 1, so there's time for making and shipping. For a birthday or Easter (the film's own holiday), add the 2–4 weeks of making to the delivery time and count back from the date.
Before he leaves the studio, we send you photos of the finished doll. Then we pack him so the robe and hair arrive in shape.
