This KV-44 tank plush is one of the biggest toys we've sewn. Like everything here, it was made to order, in 2022, and it covers a kid's whole lap.
World of Tanks is a cult online game. Pretty much every boy of the last few generations has played it at least once. Some love it so much that the best present they can imagine is a big green tank, sewn by hand just for them.
Which tank is this
Fans will spot it straight away. It's the KV-44, the "Soviet monster" from the Gerand tank cartoons on YouTube, where World of Tanks-style machines come alive, grow faces and fight each other. KV-44 is built from a whole stack of tank hulls, with guns sticking out in every direction. In the comments people argue about who could beat him. The usual answer: KV-44 will never die.
How we built it
This was a tricky job. Some parts rotate, and the size is serious. The main turret sits on top with an angry red eye, a heavy brow and a zigzag mouth. Below it, layers of hulls carry a red star and small turrets, each with its own gun barrel. More turrets stand in rows along three track sections, and the tracks have little road wheels sewn on, one by one. We used three shades of green with dark olive gun mantlets, so every piece still reads from across the room.

The tank is sewn from soft felt-like fabric in three greens: bright lime for the hulls and turrets, a deeper green for the panels and tracks, and dark olive for the gun mantlets.

Parts that turn, the size, the colours and the number of turrets can all change for your order. Wire for poseable parts, a sound module or LED lights can be added on request. Tell us at the start, because they go in while we sew.
A tank like this usually takes 2–4 weeks, and a really big or detailed one sits at the longer end.
The pattern is where the time goes. A cartoon tank is a pile of boxes on screen, but in fabric every block needs the right angle, the right firmness and a place for its gun. Then come the turning joints, dozens of barrels, the road wheels and the face.
The time frame keeps a small reserve for handmade surprises. If the tank is for a birthday or another date, mention it in your first message.
Shipping takes 7–20 business days, depending on your country. Around the holidays the post slows down, so leave a few extra days.
A big plush tank is a present that's hard to miss under a tree. For Christmas, order by November 1.
